There was a lot that was really good about this episode. Basically everything except Gary and John. The high points were great. I wanted to give it a 9. Fairy Godmother/Nora and Charlie/Zari would have won the day.
I could really have done without the strip club in hell but the Triumvirate almost made up for that. But Gary, and the Sara/Ava dance scene was not just Wrong, to me, but Offensive. I wanted to go 7 or lower.
Chose not to let that insenitive, male gaze BS bring down the great contributions of the others.

Following on from the end of the last episode:
Neron in ray's body reveals the existence of magical creatures to the world. And his plan to others. Everything becomes clear in this one.
The legends launch a plan to get the bureau back. Naturally things don't quite work out and some of them have to improvise.
Gary gets what he always wanted. Which might not be what everyone thinks.
John is in hell. And gets to meet the bosses. But his one weakness might come out....
And in 2019 DC, a young girl finds a strange item.
Superbly juggling all the plot lines, this moves it all along very nicely to set up the season finale. Gets typically funny at points - one of Ava's lines to Gary in particular - and like last week also manages to catch you unawares by getting emotional at the right points. Which really work.
It's also a treat for anyone who ever read the comic Hellblazer, with a fair bit of continuity from that. Three of whom are stunningly well realised and very scary with it.
One of those episodes that makes you say 'don't end there!'. Can't wait for next week. Again, this show is consistently fun and entertaining
