KRK is both really good and utterly disappointing. The storyline is kinda hard to understand at first and you won't really be sure of what is happening until things are cleared up later in the movie. That being said I actuslly really enjoyed the storyline and it's twists and turns throughout the movie.
I even ended up really liking Rambo x Kanmani x Khatija. Which for me is super unusual as I always like a couple to be monogamous in love. However in this rare occasion I ended up shipping both Kanmani and Khatija with Rambo. I would hace given the movie a 8 or maybe even 9 if **SPOILER ALERT** they ended up with him at the end of the movie or went through with the double wedding they both agreed to at first with him. However I found the ending to be appalling and an absolute letdown, from Rambo having 2 beautiful, smart, kind and amazing girls loving him and ready to marry him to losing them both is just ridiculous in my opinion. To make things worse they had a cameo ending scene with Katrina Kaif as his new love-interest/possible fiancé. It felt extremely forced and included for comedy only. So that lost points with me. However besides the disappointing ending of not getting Rambo marrying either of his 2 loves the rest of the film was really enjoyable. It was also really funny and had me laughing along through many of the scenes which reinforces how dumb the ending was for that bit of comedy they thought they were adding.
Anyway enough ranting on the bad ending and how I was actually fine for once with Rambo marrying both Kanmani and Khatija. The acting was really great, both Nayanthara and Samantha Ruth Prabhu are stunning actresses, they're both extremely talented and both deliver amazing performances in KRK.
Nayanthara aka Kanmani looks amazing while playing the more cultural/traditional girl of the two and does an amazing job. Her character is unique and a nice contrast to Khati's. Samantha Ruth Prabhu plays Khatija/Khati, the more modern girl of the 2. She is absolutely beautiful and nails the sensual side to her character, we get to see her both in more traditional clothing and in more modern dresses etc. Both Khatija and Kanmani contrast well with one a other, they both offer something unique and enticing to our poor Rambo. Speaking of Rambo, Vijay Sethupathi does a really great job as Rambo, though he is an idiot (Rambo that is, not Vijay) to find true love with 2 beautiful woman and lose them both in the end.
The music was also pretty good, especially the song Two Two Two. Samantha and Nayanthara both look sexy in their outfits, once again each rocking a slightly different style. One more traditional and one more western. Both wearing sexy outfits and looking drop dead gorgeous.
All in all, KRK is a really enjoyable movie with a good dose of comedy (though you'll be laughing at the sheer craziness sometimes), some action here and there and more importantly a lovely romantic arc. At this point I'd leave it with that 8/10 or 9/10 rating, unfortunately it does have that ending we have to remember, which drops that rating to a 7/10.
Every time I see the ending (I mean seriously!? Both of them have moved on and have found other people now, and this idiot Rambo has missed out on 2 perfect woman. He should just have picked 1 rather then lose both like god damn it lol. Who to pick idk lol, I'd probably have gone with Khatija or maybe Kanmani I really don't know. Both are so amazing!) I really want to give the movie a 5/10 or 6/10 instead but the 2 actresses who put in so much time and effort along with Vijay don't deserve that, so I leave the film with a mostly well deserved 7/10.
P. S. Just pick Khati and marry her lol. Both girls are virtually equal in my eyes however I'd pick Khatija over Kanmani as I find Samantha to be slightly more attractive then Nayanthara. Plus now that Kanmani's house is secure she doesn't need him as much.
