Sex & Nudity

  • There are moderate sex references throughout, which include detailed but non-graphic conversations relating to sexual encounters, sex acts and male genitallia.
  • There are also some undetailed sex scenes, the strongest of which shows a bare-chested man thrusting over a clothed woman. In one scene a woman is also seen showering (the shot is brief however and all sensitive area's are obscured) and during some scenes set post-sexual encounters bare shoulders are visible.
  • A woman briefly describes climaxing in a non-graphic comical manner. Nothing is shown.
  • One of the lead girl kiss her husband while feeding food, followed by them making out with the girl showing deep cleavage. Nothing explicit but quite romantic & erotic.

Violence & Gore

  • There are undetailed moments of comic violence, in which characters are punched, kicked, hit with wooden poles and in one instance a metal container; all without detail.
  • In one scene a character is also shot without detail.

Profanity

  • There is a mouthed use of strong language 'fuck' which occurs along with infrequent uses of milder terms such as 'bitch' and 'shit'.
  • A woman is also seen pointing her middle finger at a policeman.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There is a scene of drug misuse, in which the protaganist's are seen purchasing and smoking marijuana. The drug misuse is glamorised in nature and is also accompanied with an extended music video featuring verbal drug references as well as some drug-related visuals. The protaganist's are also seen purchusing snacks for their drug-related craving's prior to the marijuana misuse.
  • Alcohol is also consumed and focused upon throughout the film, charecter's are often seen drinking too excess, mixing-up alcohol, getting drunk and discussing drinking (bottles are blurred however). Alcohol addiction is also touched upon as a charecter goes to rehab for alcohol addiction.
  • Characters are also seen smoking tobbaco in a couple of scenes. There is a minimal focus on this.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is a scene of moderate threat, in which a charecter is tied to a chair and threatened with a gun. Other instances of milder threat include a woman holding a knife up-to several guests at a wedding in order to rescue another woman from an unwanted marriage and scenes in which characters are pursued in comical fashion.
  • There are also some moments of emotional conflict between charecter's and in one scene a woman is seen holding a knife to her wrist after becoming upset over a complicated love, in another scene a woman is shown holding a bottle of poison (contemplating suicide) however she does not follow through. The film ultimately shows suicide in a negative light and the rest of the film is upbeat nature.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Despite the film's numerous scenes of alcohol consumption and scene of glamorised drug misuse the film ultimately does not promote drug/alcohol misuse and as the film ends the protagonist's go substance-free and vow to become high-on-life instead.
