This somnambulant series put out of its misery after 6 tedious eps.

There are some good moments in this series but it's lack of energy or an engaging lead lead to boredom. It's a bit of a slog to get through all the eps, although things to pick up somewhere along the way. The oppressive yellow hues don't help. It's a deadly mess.

A decent debut

Dark Heart kicks off in hugely dramatic style, the opening moments set the tone for the episode, it's dark, gritty, gruesome drama. Fans of Luther will appreciate this I'm sure, it's very much made in the same style, very dark, but certainly intense. I quite liked the episode overall, but it was a bit messy, they try to establish too many characters, too quickly, at times it's quite difficult to know who's who, and what's going on. Very good production values, very well acted, I thought Tom Riley was particularly good as the lead.

I'm sure it will settle into a very watchable series.
