Getting nasty with the teddy bear
deloudelouvain23 May 2018
First time I've watched a stand-up comedy from Greg Davies. I enjoyed it, had a good time. Greg Davies as a stand-up comedian has the talent and the charisma to make you laugh and to keep you interested until the end. His not afraid of laughing with himself, physically or with things he has done. Well at least if they are true, but that's not important, it was just funny. Jokes about his mother and father, about himself or others, it all made this show an enjoyable act to watch. I wouldn't say he's my favorite stand-up comedian, that's Jim Jefferies at this moment, but I will for sure look out and search for more of his stand-up comedies. If they are all like this one I will have more pleasant nights.

The Title says it all.

What's there not to love about Greg Davies? He has the soul of a naughty school boy incased in a magnificent beast. Though I cautiously will admit that this was not my favourite Greg Davies live performance, I still did enjoy it and had some laugh out loud moments.

If you love British humour that is classically a touch smutty then you will love You Magnificent Beast.

I love how he is happy to get down with the front row of the audience, and the proposal to Greg at the beginning of the show was hilarious.

So if you love Greg in Taskmaster, Inbetweeners and all his other great comedy shows, then definitely check this one out.

"It talks!!!"

The show as a whole is good, but the bit about ET is nothing but brilliant. It made laugh so hard in that way you did as a kid, where tears literally run down your cheeks and you can barely breathe. I can't tell you how many times I rewound that bit. Also, to stove someone's head in with a shovel is an expression I will gladly steal.

Enjoyable

5/23/18. He was funny and witty and worth catching at least once. It's nice to see a comic who is comfortable in his own skin.

I signed up here because I could not believe the negative reviews!!! He is beyond talented and gives so much joy!!! He brings humour into everything we do! Thank you, Greg Davies! He is at his best when he jokes about his mother or anything to do with his family. Magnificent storyteller!

I LOVE YOU GREG

Greg Davies is the epitome of British humour, if you can't accept this as an exponentially hilarious stand-up, then I can't accept you as a Brit- or someone with a sense of humour-. This may seem extreme, but this stand up is everything that is right with the world and Greg Davies is a magnificent man and tremendous comic. You are allowed your opinions BUT NEITHER ME OR GREG ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RESULT OF LEAVING A BAD REVIEW! You have been informed. Good day squire.

Greg Davies made me laugh out loud.

Several good belly laughs which I guess I needed. Thanks Greg. I am now a fan.

Yeah he made me laugh -- I think that's the definition of a good standup comic.

(FYI: I'd never seen any of his routines nor watched him in any tv shows, etc)

The ending of You Magnificent Beast was unexpected, beautiful AND hilarious.

Absolutely terrible.

I cannot understand how this man has made it so far as a stand up comedian. He is not funny all all. Not one laugh had, only disbelief at its terribleness. I'm even began questioning whether his fame is hoax? A scam? Is some rich fat cat funding him?

Having said that, I don't wish anything bad for him and he does make some people laugh so that's what matters. For that reason I have given it a 2 out of 10 and not a 1 out of 10.

Not funny

Warning: Spoilers
I'm a fan of Greg Davies from Cuckoo and thought I would enjoy this, but I didn't. Too many rude jokes and making fun of his parents or people he has met in his life. Long, unfunny annecdotes which I can't really believe are true. I won't be watching more of his shows.

He needs better material. Just not funny. amazing what you can away with. trivial and not funny. He's a good comedy actor and he gives everything in this but the jokes are dire. Couldn't chuckle.

Not a single laugh was had

Watched this with a couple friends. Not so much as a chuckle passed anyone's lips. The guy's not funny. How he got into comedy I can only guess. Maybe those parents of his did the usual parent thing and kept telling how funny he was and that he should do standup...
