Emotional, Beautiful, Perfect Acting. A MUST SEE

Almost everything is well placed in the movie. Technically speaking, a wonderful movie with a great story, best songs, fine acting especially by Jimmy Sheirgill, Simi Chahal, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Seema Kaushal, Harby Sangha & Mahabir Bhullar with their THETH Punjabi dialogue delivery. Above all a great performance by Madam Nirmal Rishi, but she had a very little role. Tarsem Jassar also performed well in a cameo appearance. Sorry i'm giving it 9/10, because it was a little short in length. I personally feel that after the song REFUGEE, 10 more minutes should have been added to the movie. Good wishes to director Taran Jagpal & writer Jass Grewal for making a movie as the same level of ANGREJ (2015) & LAHORIYE (2017)..

I think this is absolutely a masterpiece of punjabi cinema... Must watch for those who loves to watch family drama movies.....Even though now i am expecting such more movies from the director [ also watched 'Rabb da Radio' which was also a very good movie from the same director).....Direction is at the best in both movies..........

Yup you can go for it without any hesitation, first 5-10 mins are a bit slow but then the whole thing is good, i am glad punjabi cinema is producing these kind of movies now, story is different new and a good one so don't want to spoil anyone's fun. Oh and comedy lovers stay away if you want pucnhes or anything they aren't there. All in all my whole family agrees that it was worth watching.

The story is the real hero of this movie. Amazingly filmed... Really great acting from all the actors. Especially Jimmy shergill and the little girl. A story tells the love between Mother and a daughter. This story could be a big budget bollywood movie. Film crew, cast and procers made a great effort. Hats off!! 10/10

This movie is full emotions, with touch of three different eras 1940's, 1960's and 2018. Daana Paani is must want watch Punjabi movie, it demonstrate the important of the family relations.

Having gotten accustomed to a wave of Punjabi films with little substance, this stands out as a gem.

A great tale with a heart warming story. This film benefits from a great cast, Simi Chahal & Jimmy Shergill are both very good, whilst Gurpreet Ghuggi delivers a great, non-comical performance and to top it off, the soundtrack is good too!

If you're looking for a light-hearted comedy, don't watch this but if you want to watch a memorable film, press play!

You need to really digg into the characters, i mean , you need to feel their pain , you need to live the moment along with them to understand real meaning of the movie, it's just an amazing movie which brings you tears in your eyes. All actor overacted.story is not good, it is hard to make interest in waching. Expresses bad old culture of punjab. Jimmy Shergill should tried to be more macho. And last this are punjabi movies don't have a good topic to make films on rather than wedding or marriage

One of the best Punjabi movies made ever.Everything from direction,music,dialogues,casting,performance is top notch.Jimmy Shergill is excellent in the stoic army man role.Nirmal Rishi ji is brilliant as always.Other actors have acted nicely as well.It takes us to the old Punjab when lives were simple yet very complicated.Must watch👍

Punjabi Cinema has very few movies to name where "why should I see this movie ?? " gets answered with so much depth of emotions and relations .This movie does that. Wonderful direction ,much credit to the screeenplay writer. Direction, acting, background score and much importantly the whole feel of the movie is purely top notch. Go for it with your family, everyone from kids to elders will enjoy .

What a beautiful story, destiny takes you where you belong be it a little late. Emotional ride from start to finish and what a perfect ending, couldn't be more apt than this. Not a single boring moment. I hope youth and masses take interest in such movies to support so that these movies make some profits and creators encouraged for making more of these.
