So, so bad...
andysmoore27 August 2021
It's astonishingly bad. So bad, I couldn't stop watching it. The acting, the fight scenes, the script, the locations, the story - all terrible.

A must watch!!

Well, the fight scenes were ridiculous

I had high hopes, but the first fight scene was just showing too much of the choreography. All the moves in slow motion. This was enough to ruin the rest of this flick for me.

Potential Story Here
zaahidbax24 August 2021
But absolutely let down by the acting. Sheesh.. dont these guys look back at the scenes to see what we see ? The monologues and one liners.... awful timing. The closest likeable character was the nutter wannabe drug baron. As for his body guard.... he should take up acting as Prince William's doppleganger.... as his macho portrayal of tough dude just did not cut.

As for the two main actors.. perlease.... it required a pair who were more like Bodie and Doyle (The Professionals) to make the story look more convincing..... but these two came across as Cannon and Ball in The Boys in Blue.

Funday Monday
BigPappaPalpatine5 July 2022
Still baffled by the gimmick of a Holiday Monday (the days drug lords go extra 'ard) but one thing is for certain, these bad boys are coming... for justice.

Each line cuts like a deep sarcastic knife plunged deep into the chest of each character and the audience. You'll be wondering just whose line is it anyway, as the lines blur the edges of character's individuality and the, uh, the humour reminds you of similar daytime TV shows with much higher production value.

Sorely lacking in research the esteemed filmmakers seem to be under the impression that ol' white powder tastes finger lickin' good! They also believe that snipers can see through walls, that life and death fights are where you handle each other like toddlers having a tantrum at soft play and that you can even continue to bargain eloquently with your would-be assailant after they have penetrated your lung.

Our main lead packs all the charisma of that one sock that always goes missing in the wash, whereas his best friend keeps the audience guessing if the duo were really the villains all along.

Jemima Spence appears in this film...

All-in-all, you'll enjoy this movie if you too, like each of the characters, hate a Monday off.

Bad but good

I loved it but I'm embarrassed to say that. It was awful and the fight scenes were terrible BUT for some reason I watched the whole thing.

Bad on so many levels
dmcontact5 February 2024
Believe me hand guns of those sizes recoil, if they did not that would be great, the automatics were more convincing.

The fight seens are great if you want to see how to practice with out contact or pain. The plot is reasonable but the budget lets it down, some corny one liners made sure I watched to the end despite wanting to turn it off.

Matt Symonds is also a Wrestler and that was obvious in most scenes and moves.

May be future offerings and bigger budgets will provide a more polished performance, the titles really let the whole offering down at the start of the film and the delayed play of these imitates that of bond films wow 1.

Liquid gold.

An action movie doesn't begin to describe the impeccability of what I've just witnessed. A modern day Die Hard to say the least; Holiday Monday will be a future reference to all other directors. We begin with two actors; Nathan Shepka and Colin MacDougall. The witty banter and display of charisma when producing their lines is wonderful; The one-liners and repartee in this movie was nothing short of stupendous, I absolutely burst out laughing multiple times during this production due to the crippling burns laid down upon the cast like the plague of locusts to Egypt. Not to mention the fluency and swarve of the choreography in this movie; they make short work of their opponents, I can tell the director had large influence from John Wick and hints of uniqueness alike with Kingsman.

The plot, my gosh I thought I was reading classic literature; two body guards, both with prestigious backgrounds in the military see themselves out of their depths when they get themselves wrapped up in a drug king (beautifully portrayed by John Michael-love I believe) pin's maniacal games. He is the purest dealer out there and by gosh is he the most insane, the sheer presence of this character gave me goose bumps, the crazed laughing, the smiles, the way the director uses light in particular to portray his emotions is frightening; God I thought I was watching Heath Ledger for a second.

I do not wish to spoil more at this time, but this heart wrenching tail really had me going for a second towards the end. But truly the best part was when the tracker was revealed to be in the vest and not the santa hat, I spat out my juice, truly. I'd also like to take time to compliment other actors: the assassin, Gina, portrayed by Jemima Spence; maybe a little derivative of the best assassins in movie history, Leon and Anton Chigurh for example, but done wonderfully. Also Kayla Caldwell as Maddy did a fantastic job, her catchphrase will probably be the last thing I think of when I die (and I'll die with a smile). Also Jay Graham did a great job, dude must've travelled the universe for thousands of years and back to find a performance that amazing.

In conclusion, this sex-joke fuelled, heart palpitating, guns blazing, mad Action ride is truly deserving of a 1/10.

Pretty decent given a low budget!
NoMoreNames28 August 2021
Really enjoyed this. Been a while since I've seen a good British action movie. This has all the key ingredients - likeable leads, great fights and shootouts, a worthy bad guy and a decent twist that I didn't see coming.

Considering the budget the action was really well done. Lots of explosions and old school shoot outs. I was particularly impressed by the lack of reliance on digital FX, they favoured practical stunts and effects and it works. Obviously there are limitations but the charm of the film and a fun script overcomes this.

Looking forward to seeing what these guys do next.
