It is about bloody time that Jamie and Eddie made a decision!!!

No spoiler here. As cops show go, Blue Bloods remains near the top of the heap. The entire Reagan family is involved in this episode and someone is killing off innocent New Yorkers and it is up to Danny and and his partner Baez to figure out the who, what and why these innocent people are being targeted. Much gets discussed around the Reagan family dinner table and this episode is no different. One of the Reagan clan while feasting on the weekly family dinner makes a revelation as to who may be responsible for the string of assassinations and more importantly provides the answer as to "why" these assassinations may be taking place.

This is the season 8 finale and we are left with a cliffhanger as police chief Reagan's youngest son Jamie and his devoted partner Eddie are starting their daily shift. As they proceed to drive away in their assigned police cruiser from the police station the audience observes they are being followed by a black sedan. Will something happen? Well in fact, lots does happen and the season 8 finale is a doozy you won't want to miss if you are a true Blue Bloods fan like Mrs. Shullivan and I are.

It is a fine episode deserving of a 9 out of 10 rating.

Finally! The Ending Every Blue Bloods Fan Has Been Waiting For...Maybe?!
spasek13 May 2018
If you've been following this show from the beginning, like I have, you probably enjoy it for the relationship dynamics, the interactions, and the sense of family. The investigations, the politics, and the other nuances supplement and compliment the before-mentioned.

Tom Selleck was the one who requested that the "family dinner" be added in order to give the show that sense and strength in family. This turned out to be a masterful stroke, as some of the show's deepest, touching, and most poignant discussions have occurred in these short scenes.

Therefore, it makes it all the more profound and apt that what happens at the end of this season finale, also happen at the family dinner table.

Danny, Erin, Frank, and Jamie are all connected in investigating a series of drive-by shootings that are all connected to a past case at the beginning of Frank's tour as PC. When it becomes clear as to who is behind it, and why, one of the Reagans's life will be put in danger. We already lost Linda, and now we had to wonder if we might lose another member of the family.

The chemistry between these actors is powerful, and it is the driving force of this show. Danny and his partner, Frank and his staff, and Jamie and Eddie, the family connections, notwithstanding.

For any true Blue Bloods fan, this season finale episode was arguably the best one yet!

Absolutely loved this episode...and all seasons. This one left me smiling and feeling euphoric. Tom Selleck the leader of this fabulous show, integrity, respect, honesty and most of all love. Kudos to all. Thank you.

My Aim Is True Rings True For Another Season Of Blue Bloods
nickthimmesch12 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
"My Aim Is True" (from the Elvis Costello song?) is a great season finale: it has action, retribution, salvation, and romance. Blue Bloods loses a familiar character but gains a future married couple we have all wanted to see: Jamie and Eddie. I'll leave it at that, though just this qualifies my review as a "spoiler", but even though it's just tv, I am so happy for them as you could see the love and respect they have for each other gaining year to year. Great storyline and next season should be interesting, and helps fill the void of a happy, married Reagan couple since Danny lost his wife. Also: how great is it to have the whole family say The Lord's Prayer at the end of the show: one of the reason I like Blue Bloods so much, it's wholesome and traditional.

Top 5 Best Blue Blood Episode

This show has always spoken to me, but this episode hit me when I least expected it. What an episode! Reminded me of some of those season 1 episodes when the Reagan's had to save one another while also saving the city. Well done!

At last...

Yet another fantastic Blue Bloods episode and season finale. As one of the other reviewers wrote... something probably all Blue Bloods fanatics have been waiting for - for what seems forever - finally happens.

Even though I should be sad that's it's the end of another season, I'm not, the episode closed and I have the biggest smile on my face. Roll on season 9!

A thriller worthy of a Hitchcock
bkoganbing19 December 2019
In this Blue Blood episode the whole Reagan family gets involved when several men are released from prison after evidence clears them of a crime they didn't commit. Shades of the Central Park rape perpetrators who were cleared.

Right after that Bridget Moynahan's colleague Tamara Tunie is shot and killed right in front of her and a few other deaths happen as well.

The climax occurs when one of the Reagan family is nearly killed and the handling of the suspense is worthy of a Hitchcock.

One of the best episodes in the series.
