Sex & Nudity

  • A male character is accused of being a 'pervert' on several occasions; however, his intentions are entirely innocent.
  • Frequent innuendos and sexual references. Non-explicit.
  • No nudity or sex scenes. Women are seen in bikinis or skimpy outfits in some episodes.
  • The character of Crystal is scantly-clad in an outfit that resembles the kinds worn by Lady Gaga.
  • In a flashback, a man walks in on a woman changing, and she runs up and hugs him, though this isn't meant to be sexual.
  • A kiss between two women.

Violence & Gore

Profanity

  • The performance by the Mermaid Sisters contains numerous, comical uses of the words 'f**k' and bulls**t ; however, this is the strongest instance of language in the series.
  • Occasional mild to moderate language includes 'sh*t', 'asshole', 'damn', 'hell', 'bastard', and 'crap'.
  • There is a character by the name of "Toby" in the 2nd half of the show who frequently uses the word "S***"
  • In the English dub, a man yells 'you f**king piece of sh*t' briefly at an officer. This is simply 'you bastard' in the sub.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Gus the manager is an alcoholic at the start of the series.
  • 'IDEA' the robot assistant needs 'biofuel' in the form of alcohol to process requests from the girls. He gets 'drunk' in some shots.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The series lightly touches on interpersonal themes concerning teenage identity, friendship and self-esteem. There are also themes concerning mankind's reliance on A.I. technology vs. the inner creative soul when it comes to music.
  • Angela is portrayed as being very rude and arrogant and often makes threats for things to go her way.
  • It is revealed that Carole is an orphan.

Sex & Nudity

  • One of the protagonists got bitten by another character. She later explained that her intention is to "mark her".

Violence & Gore

  • In episode 11, Tuesday's hand is burnt by an obsessive rival who leaves a 'birthday gift' containing dry ice. The injured hand looks bright red.
  • At the end of episode 11, Tuesday is made to go back home by her mother's security agents. They force her into the limo and one of them punches Carole, sending her flinging to the floor. They drive away quickly before Carole can catch up.
