  • Although the nipples are visible, the genitals are censored.

Violence & Gore

  • A lot of gory deaths.
  • Extreme graphic violence throughout the series.
  • The violence in this show is extraordinarily brutal at times.

Profanity

  • Aids shows a finger to a woman.
  • The English dub from Manga Entertainment has extremely frequent uses of swearing, akin to the company's other Anime dubs made at the time.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Violence Jack drinks beer in the second OVA.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The uncut version is extremely violent and graphic. Evil town being the worst offender with the rape scenes and graphic violence.
  • This series is more violent than berserk or ninja scroll, easily one of the most gruesome and sexually violent animes ever. Violence jack (mostly evil town) shows extremely graphic rape scenes that make wicked city and even legend of the overfiend look tame.
  • The characters behave in ways that might be creepy and/or disturbing.
  • Rated TV-MA/17+ for extreme graphic disturbing violence and grisly images throughout, disturbing aberrant behavior, explicit sexuality including brutal rape and nudity and for strong vulgar language throughout.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • The Discotek media blu ray release removes the pixelation from the rape scenes, even with the pixelation these scenes are very disturbing and hard to watch, but when the genitals are uncensored it's almost pornographic.

Violence & Gore

  • Mad Saurus literally eats Blue's corpse after she dies.
  • A man is brutally murdered with a chainsaw in the 3rd episode.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • It's also worth noting the second episode is so graphic, that is was banned altogether in Australia.
  • A woman is seen with cuts on her body and a giant piece of wood inside her vagina. (This scene is very disturbing and explicit).
  • If the uncut versions were rated by the MPAA, slum-king and hells wind would be rated a hard R while evil town is a definite NC-17 in its unedited form.
