This is one of my favorite entries of the show and it's no doubt fitting as it's about one of the most famous parks "Action Park". I was a kid from the 80's and 90's I've honestly never heard about this place as I've never lived in New Jersey, it was probably a good thing because it looks and sounds extremely dangerous, this park should of changed it's name to Disaster Park because this place is just chalk full of them and anyone that enters could be the next one to happen. Heck, even Jackie Chan would avoid this place as it could be too painful for his taste.
"Action Park" the whole concept wasn't a bad idea, it had a lot of really fun water slides, even that downhill roller cart ride looked cool, despite how attractive it all looks this place had several huge problems. From the fact they cut corners in too many places, precautions weren't taken, and several things just simply weren't thought out very well or at all; tragedy about this is most to all of this were easy fixes that could of easily of been avoided, which could of prevented the tragedies that occurred.
One of the things was the go cart track which seemed like fun but the cars unfortunately seemed like they could be designed for real racing, as they went at non regulation speeds that could cause a serious vehicular accident. But the worst part of all was there was a small café next to this track that severed let's just say something not the legal beverage for your family park. Then there are the downward carts which are dangerous as there are hardly any breaks on them, which means riders can barely slow down and most have been flung off the track resulting in injuries.
Then of course there are the waterslides and waterworks which are even worse. From the lake of the swinging rope which had extremely ice cold water hardly within natural temp regulations. One slide has a bit hump to make the rider of the boat jump higher, but this of course also means they have little control in mid air and a huge chance of falling off the boat.
Then of course there is that waterside with the "Sonic the Hedgehog" like loop de loop, which looks extremely dangerous, funny thing about it is they constructed a door on it to open in case anyone got stuck inside the loop, yeah this isn't a bad sign, not!
Really like that 80's commercial, it's funny what one elderly lady said, "It's like being in Broadway, it's wonderful." Which I'll admit is a comparison that doesn't make sense, though if Broadway finds a crazy way to make this place a musical then I guess it would.
This whole story in a way is a fable about having a great idea but how never taking care in looking into the small details can spell out the difference between life and death.
Anyone that still wants to go to this park (if it ever gets remade and reopens) remember your having fun at your own risk.
