As someone particularly interested in these kinds of cases, when I saw this available on Netflix I immediately put it on my list. International programs provide a window on how other countries investigate & prosecute crimes so they are high on my list of preferred programs.
Unfortunately in this case, the English translation is really poor. It was produced with translation software or by someone who is not fluent in English. There are too many things that are not explained. For example, suddenly witnesses began talking about a person called "Charo" and I was left wondering who the heck "Charo" was.
Thankfully there is lengthy article online about this case published by the Guardian. It filled in a number of the blanks that arose in this documentary.
Without help from that article in the Guardian I would have been completely lost. I expect better from Netflix!
