Tom Elliot/Ren Savant was a great Adult Film director, but you wouldn't know it from this very minor Vivid title (that I had to add this week to IMDb after it went MIA for over years).
A Raylene vehicle for the label, it has the technical challenge of endless footage of her and driver Vince Vouyer in the front seat of his van in one-shots, after he picks her up distressed on the road one night. Various sex scenes ensue, notably cross-cutting at a gas station between her humping Erik Everhard in the lavatory while he humps sexy redhead Blair in the office.
But nothing much happens, not even the expected Road Movie cliches, en route to a surprise ending that explains the story but is boring. Yes, it's an unhappy ending for Vince, but Raylene would have been far more exciting as a femme fatale rather than a cog in Savant's red herring approach.
The more of these 70-minute-plus quickies from Vivid's heyday that I see the less respect I have for the one-time Numero Uno porn label.
