Above all else, The Flying Circus is a story which celebrates the necessity of art, especially in times of political strife/war/genocide. The acting is superb and I found myself immediately invested in the plight of the central characters. The perfect blend of comedy and drama, I was reminded of the goodness in people when I was constantly expecting the characters to meet a certain fate only for them to be aided and supported in a variety of ways. The viewer is faced with the moral dilemma of "how far one should go to create and support art?", a question that the characters and audience struggle with at various times. I loved this film and it deserves attention and love.
