Frightening & Intense Scenes
Spoilers
Violence & Gore
- A man telepathically makes another man's head explode. Practical effects make this scene, in an otherwise light but moody comedy, unsettling.
- A man, having spent months sitting on the couch, has parts of his flesh ripped off upon finally getting up. Only briefly visible.
Profanity
- The protagonist is exposed to bodily fluids (from being forced to drink urine to accidentally breaking a sewage pipe, being covered in fecal matter as a result). He also never gets up from his couch, and thus, never showers.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Towards the last third of the film, it becomes apparent that an apocalyptic event has occurred as soon as 1999 ends. While the camera never leaves the apartment, people can be heard screaming in agony and fear outside, as well as explosions and sirens. Unable to get off the couch, the protagonist also screams helplessly. Quite an intense scene.
- The scene in which a man murders another man telepathically may shock most viewers.
