Not that bad but more for the Asian community.
deloudelouvain24 August 2020
It was the first time I saw Kavin Jay so I can't judge if he's repetitive or not like another reviewer stated. For that I would have to watch another of his shows, which I'm not going to do by the way as his jokes work better if you're from Singapore or Malaysia, which I'm not. I'm an European so I didn't get all the "local" jokes but the ones that were not Asian related were not bad. I was entertained, thought he had a good stage presence and a good interaction with the audience. All in all it wasn't bad, certainly not to rate him with the lowest score possible like that other reviewer did, that's just ridiculous. Kavin Jay has a funny bone, but it will work better in his country than here.

Better than most American comedians

Most Americans won't understand the jokes. You have to have travelled at least a little bit and be mildly experienced to get his humor, which is pretty good. Most anyone from SE Asia, that is educated significantly above the average level will get the jokes.

I have never lived in Malaysia or Singapore, so I had to look up the food dish names that he joked about, but they are universal jokes making fun of cultural differences.

Better Than the Other Malaysian Comic

Please don't tell me this is the best, "most international" talent that comedy in Asia has to offer! I gave this one a shot - as well as "I Told You So" by another Malaysia comedian - and this one was FAR better. NETFLIX really aimed low with these two specials.

Repetitive Boredom
mkgaming-0190316 April 2018
Well for starters i am shocked that they would give him a special...really?? i watched this entire special only to have remain quiet the whole time.

lets start out with the fact that some of his jokes, are just reskins of other comedians. Also, most of his jokes are the same ones we see constantly when he performs. Dial up internet, him being fat and etc.. He has a reputation in Malaysia to be a performer that repeats his jokes constantly and never does anything new, and it is good to see that he doesn't disappoint me in that way at all. What amazes me is that Netflix gave him a special over other talented Malaysian Performers.

Honestly, even if you want to waste your money on something, this wouldnt be it. Avoid this boring special at all cost.
