Minor Fridge Reunion

Warning: Spoilers
Jon Noble and David Call. Even the narrative hook with the double has the stink of Fringe. Classy.

And now I will watch all of Fringe, again.

Imposters Are Cruel

Warning: Spoilers
This episode begins with a old man (Mr Raleigh) who has a meeting with Brian who killed his own wife, Raleigh offers Brian a job as a assasin. The new name on The Blacklist is The Alibi aka Mr Raleigh Sinclair III. Raleigh shot down Brian because he didn't work in his experiment. Brian is trying to kill his wife while an imposter of Brian is jogging in the city. Samar is chasing Brian, Resslwr hits Brian with his car and arrested him. Red arrived at Raleigh his car and offers him a deal. Singleton broke in to Liz her house. Solid episode of The Blacklist Season 5, a good imposter episode it's unbelievable to see how they can keep this show so interesting.

One of the weaker episodes

Now, the plot of this episode is alright. The story of "The Alibi" is intriguing and creative. Acting is good, as usual. But this is the first episode in which you cannot possibly ignore how cringe Elisabeth and - unfortunately - Reddington are getting. Elisabeth mostly by becoming all "tough" and ruthless, but her partial change in personality and attitude has never been established properly except for "her husband was killed so she wants revenge". And again, the way her "toughness" is portrayed is a bit...well...hard to take seriously. She's tough in a way how a teenager might imagine being tough (facial expression, posture, the way she talks...). There's no depth to it. Unfortunately, Reddington also shows this type of toughness mostly by being sarcastic a bit too much, even for him. Which, again, is a way of "toughness" that's quite cringe and transparent. But it's not nearly as bad with him as it is with Liz's character so it's okay. But overall - not a great episode.

Out of Bounds
Hitchcoc27 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Sometimes the bad guys are so beyond belief that they become like science fiction. This guy does things with faces and bodies that would take a year or two to perfect. Plus he has to find a double and then talk a guy into going along with him. So all I could do was watch as Reddington approached him and made a deal. This is disappointing, but we know from the past that dues will be paid. We see the cop who Elizabeth has grown to trust continue to invade her space. One character that I find so difficult to watch is the counselor whom she must convince in order to be reinstated as a detective. There are interesting elements, but overall it seems to be too much.
