The bore minimum.

Allow me to review this title in the slightly non-committal style of a fellow short film enthusiast. Just to jest a little, to make it more interesting with a bit of mockery, if you will! (Read it in the monotone voice of a movie essayist from youtube.)

A story about people. A story about love. But mostly, a story about a church. Lasbians. A young girl. And an old lady. What does it mean? Confusion. Clashing of ideas. The clashing of legs, on a bed. Entangled lifes. And wine! Walls. A window too. Marvelous. A story about accent, and the people who speak with the accent. England. Wasting precious rotten food. Perversion. But most of all, a preacher. Religion. What is that? A beautiful tale of questions! A tale about having our own answers. But most importantly, it's a tale about rat poison. Finding meaning, and maybe a spark of... beauty in rat poison. A powerful, yet profane portrait of poisoning. Courageous perspective about people wearing black clothes sometimes! New motifs of acceptance, and also... living near a forest. In a noble manner, it reflects on the limits of existing in an English village, as human beings. It's a film about a mistake. But whose mistake is it? The father's or the cameraman's? We might never know. An intriguing conflict of values. Also: there is a crow. A good ingredient, of foreshadowing and open interpretation. Love. A basic virtue. A kind of emotion if you will. Crazy, spontaneous, iconoclastic, provocative. Not to mention, the congregation. It also, by definition, made of people, by people. Stupendous! An amusing and well crafted parallel. Of saying something, about something.

I'll stop now, you get my point.

A short film about the clash between Church and love. Touching story, great cinematography. And a wise - cold story about revenge. All impressive for the refined simplicity. A preacher . And his daughter. A religious comunity. An old woman. And a relation who, in few lines of sketch, becomes more than admirable work. Short, a bitter film who I love . With profound admiration.
