Another blast from Nana Patekar.
vicky-3472410 February 2018
Movie is good and with nice storyline and content. Little bit emotional and full of suspense. Good to go and watch acting and skills of every actor. Nana patekar as usual did his best . As it is emotional movie but binds one because the sory line is good added spice of suspense and thrill.

Interesting but leaves you confused about the message
nelsonchristos11 October 2020
I felt the movie keeps the audience at the edge of their seats. But i thought the intended message seems to be lost. I might be wrong but it seems the Police can get away by framing anyone based on circumstantial evidence. That is the message which i got apart from the usual family drama

Fails to deliver as per expectations
dpneha11 February 2018
Extremely disappointed with the climax of the movie. You cannot overlook the flaws since it revolves around an incident and a biased version of story telling. Of course, Nana Patekar's acting skills are superb and it is intriguing in the first half. However, the story is good for a drama, and does not classify as a thriller. The movie slips into a family drama mode, and the audience is left clueless as to what exactly happened to such a wonderful story.

Well intentioned but......
seansverma14 October 2021
The movie started off very promisingly but then it drags and drags and drags....... Very well intentioned, well acted but it takes too long to make it's point. This could have been a 45 minute story.

Lots of problematic parts.
kajalme19 September 2020
With good casting and acting, this movie has gotten a 3 from me. It's not a thriller but a full drama. However, multiple things are wrong here. Movie is stretched unbelievable long for a message of 2-3 lines. Women have been potrayed horribly here and also disrespected a lot. Women are often harassed unnecessarily and there should have been an effort to convey that too. Adults in the house sometimes cannot behave like adults and that's no one's fault but their own. Don't wanna give any spoilers for those who watched it because of Nana's fans (As I did). Overalll, I would have not watched it if I knew what a mess it would end up being.

Well directed and shown a real part of today's society.
rahulrawat-1665619 September 2020
Nana Patekar sir, Sumeet and Iravati acted so intensely that at point I was swearing the later to be such bad humans. Nana Sir is one of those gems whose acting never got polluted by the environment around. KUDOS to the story written and screen play to keep the story interesting till the very End. The Director is always the backbone of the flim. And Satish Rajwade was a very strong one. Nice work done and congratulations to the entre team to create such a movie.

PLEASE WATCH IT

A perfect family watch, engaging storytelling with layered acting. This film gets a lot of criticism because of some people thought it was misogynistic, and it definitely was not misogynistic in any way.

Super suspense
poojababyblue19 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Good movie..Direction was amazing. Pros. Keeps u occupied with the suspense. Cons. The father iltreated his daughter in law. Got problems within the couple. In this generation where both parents want to work, it's a wrong expectation to expect a daughter in law to sit and cook. With the same story would make sense if the father was iltreated. L2. Lack of emotions. Literally no one cried when they heard it's a suicide or whole movie.

No message. It is just a fact of society!
rtpathak26 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Good reviews: Acting bad Cast is perfect. Plot is new and directed very well. Bad reviews: What was the point of movie. I understand as per time son and daughter might be behaving different than they used to be. However, this movie just shows that kids are wrong even if today's life pace is way faster and busier than life that 60 year old generation had. This is generation gap. And this movie just blame it everything on son and daughter-in-law. Especially woman.

I would expect if we use movie platform to educate people to avoid such kind of thinking. Both generations need to adjust a bit. And for a Indian family who has kids outside of India, this is not at all a good message. Everyone needs to have more understanding. We cannot blame everything on kids. You want children to succeed but you don't want them to leave you and also you don't want to independent. There are lot of other countries where 60 year and above people are independent and take care of themselves. When needed whole family enjoys dinners or outdoor trips together.

"Movie could have been much better and not one sided conclusion. This just decrease will power of parents more and will create more emotional distance in family."

Thrilling!! Would keep you on your toes!
aksh-7003030 June 2023
Good movie. Justified plot. No drama. No unnecessary dialogues. Great acting by Nana Patekar as always!! Supporting cast also has put on some show. First half is quite better as the story building craft is exposed at its ultimate level. But even the second half has unfold quite well with all the unbundling of all the twists and turns. You cannot guess the climax literally till the last minute. This shows nothing but absolute craftsmanship by the director and the writer!! Would suggest you to watch it with your parents as you would explore more angles to the story. Treat to watch indeed. Happy watching! :)

Unusual movie but degrading to women
happy_peace_200421 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The movie carries suspense within a realistic setting and the viewer keeps wondering who did the crime. I don't understand Marathi but I enjoyed the acting and different angle taken to solve the 'crime'. But what REALLY REALLY annoyed me was the portrayal of the son and the daughter in law - they were made to look like a villain by the father in law and also the filmmakers. He complains when she comes home late. The woman is trying to have a career - what's wrong about that? He makes her look bad in front of neighbours and even in her small child's mind. He tries to stir up trouble between his son and her. He was evil. Despite all his spiteful allegations, she took care of him and gave him his injections. I'm surprised she hadn't left the home. She didnt want the old man to suffer. The son was stuck in the middle, he cared for both father and son. Yet the filmmakers make him look bad too!! Not fair.

A must watch for the generation of today
madonnicallysony21 September 2020
I watched this movie coz of the stellar star cast: Nana Patekar, Sumeet Raghavan and Irawati Harshe. All three of them have done justice to their roles. The plot kept twisting until the end. Its slightly over 2 hours but I did not find any boring moment in the movie. The best dialogue of this movie is 'Everyone looks similar in grief'..I strongly suggest the younger generation to watch this movie as it comes with a lot of life lessons. It was thriller tearjerker for sure.

Horrible way to teach a good thing

Unnecessarily dragged for 2 hrs, storyline is weak as well. Acting was good (4 star for this), but women are unnecessarily harrassed.

A movie with good intend, that is delivered in wrong way
anup_anupkorade19 February 2018
Movie has excellent message to convey to young generation, who stay with their old age parents. The movie has to convey a simple message worth a sentence or two, but for this movie is unnecessarily stretched for two hours. Movie fails all expectations in the end.

Nana, Iravati and Sumeet are at best of their acting skills, no doubt, but bad direction and weak story-line has failed everything . Story could have been delivered in a better way.

Patriarchal and misogynistic BS
prajshriyan1 January 2022
An unbelievable boring and annoying movie that blames a hard working independent woman for not being a housewife who cooks and cleans up after her husband amd father in law the entire day. Can't believe c#@p like this still gets made into movies with good actors in it.

No sense of clarity in conveying the message and a lot of heavy personal bias overshadows
Travelwings25 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
What starts off as a suspense full of alternate possibilities spirals into an uncontrollable maneuver shadowed by an inspector's personal bias. This movie has good potential but sadly the script writer aren't clear about what they want to convey the audience. It appears as though they want to portray abandonment issues in two contexts and in this movie they have mixed both of them so it ends up proving nothing and making things even more problematic.

On one hand it's showing the alternate possibilities as the possible perceptions by the society and that's well-captured since it's blaming both husband and wife. It's not holding the father-in-law accountable in the real sense or expecting him to be loving and appreciative of his children but instead asking the couple to be a bit more forgiving which can be especially annoying and quite unjust (because in this case the inspector is forcing the guilt all thanks to his personal issues).

I absolutely don't like the fact that personal bias distorts the case. There is no similarity between the way the inspector's son behaves with him and the way the man behaves with his father. There is neither any information on the equation between the inspector and his son nor any background story through which we can draw a parallel and understand why both the cases are similar. If it's asking you just to be more compassionate towards parents, it still doesn't justify the consistently lingering subjectivity.

Very bad message. Demeaning towards women.
kousraikar30 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The movie has good cast and had a good way of storytelling. However, fell miserably in the message which shows the patriarchal mindset of the makers of this film.

All this shows is toxic old man who unnecessarily taunts his daughter in law - an independent working women - and falls of due to an accident, but the women is to be blamed for all this.

In this era of where we should talk of women empowerment this movie is doing just the opposite. Disappointing!
