I never trust the word of someone who gives up half way through. Why would I consider your review legitimate if you don't even have the patience to watch the whole thing before reviewing it?

That being said.. this is just your basic run of the mill horror story,' 4.1

Trailer better than full movie

The preview compelled me to watch this movie, but it didn't deliver the way I thought it would. Prime video categorized it as a "young adult" film, but perhaps it should have been billed as a young teen film. There were some visions of killings, but definitely not a slasher film - there was no actual slashing or gory graphics. However, I stayed watching to see if something entertaining was going to happen. In conclusion, I give this film a C for effort in keeping me watching to the end, which was disappointing.

I'm at home in quarantine with covid, so I'm watching every scary movie and show known to man. This one isn't perfect, but it's got a new twist on an old theme, and I liked it.

It had a potential but if fell flat. The feeling I've seen this movie before throughout the entire movie. The acting was bad. I've seen worse but not by much. Both girls had ways of using the game to live longer and get revenge on people who wronged them but no that would have been too sensible for them. The girls were too dumb. I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did. No real jump scares. I watched to the end hoping it got better. It did not.

Worst horror movie I've ever seen

I gave this movie a 1/10 because at least it was a movie... The trailer makes you feel there's a lot of scary parts, but there's no more scary things than what you can already see in the trailer.

Cadence (Allie Marie Evans) is your classic high school skank. She becomes friends with new girl Rose (Annie Hamilton ) and they both immediately become outcasts of the cheerleader squad. They play an on-line cell phone game and the loser has 47 hours to live unless they play it with someone else and they lose.

Having just seen "Countdown" a far better version of the on-line horror game genre, I was bored with this feature. This is a me-too film that is not as good as the other ones out there. Nothing personally, but it has been overdone and better. What I didn't understand is when they play with someone new, don't they need to light a candle and do the blood prick too?

Guide: F-word. sex. No nudity.

How to intoduce your main character. NOT!!!

If you introduce the main character behind the wheel of a car, like some dumb cow apping or texting or whatever, almost getting into an accident not once, but twice, you can't expect people to have any sympathy for the girl. So the first two minutes ruined the movie for me... Without the dumb beginning I would give it 5 stars.

Just similar with Countdown

47 Hours to Live is engaging and creative, without being a high quality.

The game would randomly stop on someone, so they shouldn't be able to keep swapping first try and I mean Cadence deserved to die from the outset, with the texting and nearly crashing, then texting some more, but I liked it. Passable lead performances, some of the secondary characters weak.

Serviceable film but tired with cliches

So...if you play the satanic game, you are actually going to die. Ho hum. Some decent acting but cliched tired plot doesn't save the day. Not a total waste but also not necessary to watch.

I gave this an 8 because I feel this movie deserves a better average, I have seen so many bad horror movies with higher ratings. By reading some of the other reviews it is obvious they didn't watch or pay attention, for Cadence says why they don't use the candle. Believe me if this was even remotely a "me too" movie it would have gotten a 1. Is it the best, no but it isn't a waste of time either. A sold 5 should be the average.

Not bad at all

At the start it seemed like it was going to be very low budget, bad horror movie. But somehow the two girls carried off a pretty dumb plot quite well and kept me on board till the end. They deserve better. Cadence had nice hair. In fact I spent way too much time looking at her hair! The style of the movie had a bit of an original Twilight Zone feel to it. If there were jump scenes I must have missed them. Definitely better than the 4 it's got. I gave it a 6.

Couldn't stand the actress who played Rose. Terrible, no facial expression. The movie has a lousy ending.

I miss the days when ugly actors were actual actors and could act. Not only is this movie not scary but it is stupid!

These girls are cheating on a demon sumoning game, you think this is going to get good right? You think ; you mess with a demon you're gonna get the horns, right? But no. Nothing spectacular happens. Nothing but this generic bs Hollywood produces.

Protagonists are so lame they could have been killed in the first scene and no one would have cared. One is a mouse (Rose) the other one is an asshole (Cadence). No teenage angst was portrayed in that movie, that would have been relatable. No just an asshole of a character and Hollywood's usual garbage.

Watch something better, One missed call 2008 is a thousand times better.

provocating failure of cinematography

4.3 is far too high rate for this "movie" which does let you feel so disgraceful watching it. No way to stand all of it, I couldn't, it's rubbish, directed, acted, written as example of how NOT to deal with cinematography. 1/10

Another worst film! Too many boring conversation and overuse jump scare scene! Avoid at all cost!

This film start with a girl "Cadence" taking photo with her phone in the car, a guy fail to borrow the phone from Cadence kill by a car, and another girl "Rose" moving house scene! As turnout, this film is about Cadence and Rose need to relay playing the photo timing game to save each other lives! Entire film full of boring conversation and overuse jump scare scene! Make the film unwatchable! Barely intense scene is, Rose try to get away from the demon chasing her in the toilet! Later turnout, she actually attacking a janitor! At the end, Rose kill by a chunk of movie screen! At the very end, another two unknown girls playing the photo timing game at the bedroom! That's it! Another not recommended film!

If you intend to watch this, Please don't....I will spare you the agony...I managed to watch 35 minutes and I got bored, it had a great start hence the 3/10 rating but it took a downfall real quick.

I just wish something scary would happen just to combat the slow pace of the film but sadly, it failed...

I think I would be better off watching another one and not finish it...

It's Nothing Amazing, but Far from Terrible

Surprised by the overall rating of this one! I personally thought of it as a "run of the mill" thriller that does a few things a little better than others. Is it scary? Not really, but a little unsettling here and there. Without giving too much away, the phone/television related scenes creeped me out a bit.

Yes, it has flaws, but nothing that kept me from wanting to finish. The acting is okay and I like the dark atmosphere of the film. The concept is kinda commonplace (and I didn't like everything they did with it), but I don't think it's ripping anything off too bad. Worth a watch in my personal opinion.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. There are a lot of plot twists, and the acting is solid. Definitely worth your time.

This film is a typical drama teen horror flick I've seen over and over again. But who they chose for the actresses/actors I kinda dig it. This storyline has been done multiple times through out most horror films, but the suspense kept me on my toes not knowing who or what was going to happen next.

The scares kept me intrigued and the countdown really made me wonder how they were going to die or who was dying next.

I personally really liked this twist on a newer version of the same story but I'd definitely watch it.
