- TriviaIt was at one point thought that this could possibly be the last appearance of Norm MacDonald on the show as he passed away in 2021, before Season 3 had been released. It was later confirmed that Macdonald completed voice work for season 3 before his passing and that Yaphit would have a recurring role. The season 3 pilot Electric Sheep (2022) is dedicated to Macdonald's memory.
- GoofsThe crew decide to hide from the Kaylon "just inside the event horizon" of a black hole. An event horizon is the boundary beyond which nothing can escape a black hole's gravity, not even light. Their ship could not possibly go "inside the event horizon" and then come back out again, especially not at sub-light speed.

What a formidable episode!!!!!
It's been said that we are the lost generation, for our ancestors explored the Earth, and our descendants will explore the depths of space. But this series made me feel that I am no longer lost. I am an explorer.
The Orville has proven throughout the two seasons an excellent quality content with rational scientific explanations, breathtaking graphics, fabulous story telling, and amazing characters. It deserves to be on TV for many years to come.
I hope this episode is a season finale and not a series finale.
Bravo! 10/10
