Not Brian's Best Material
jclampson5 January 2019
But it still pulls thru at the end. It's not that it's bad, it's just uncharacteristically introspective. All and all, it seems more like he's riffing test material to a friend rather than a big deal Netflix special. This however will not be making you wonder if you're going to pass out, or even worse yet- pass gas laughing like much of his other stuff does. Still, a whole lot better than a jab in the eye with a sharp stick.

Not Funny

I have been a fan of Brian Regan for a very long time. I always thought he was extremely funny. That ends today. I laughed one time and was happy when it ended. This is even worse than that last Seinfeld special. Time for Brian to move on.

I don't get the extremely negative reviews.

I agree that this wasn't Brian Regans best performance but I disagree it wasn't funny at all. In fact I think he's way funnier than a lot of other stand-up comedians. I watched two of his earlier shows, Standing Up (2007) and The Epitome Of Hyperbole (2008), those shows got me in tears from laughing, and maybe Nunchucks And Flamethrowers was not of the same level but it still gave me plenty of laughs and that's exactly what I want when watching a stand-up comedy. Brian Regan knows how to tell a joke, he has the charisma for it, the right mimics and facial expressions. His material this time was good enough to entertain me but yes I agree he did better before. He still remains in my top ten of stand-up comedians though.

The little train that couldn't

From the first minute to the last, which I regret sitting through - I mean, I would rather watch washing machine ads on a loop rather than watching this, if I could go back, - it is so incredibly dull. There are no jokes in this that made me smile, or chortle or chuckle. It's just unbelievably dull, and the people laughing in the audience must have a very different kind of humour than me, I guess. Steer clear.
