Not worthwhile
des1rt14 July 2022
The Nordic mythology element ought to be interesting (at least to me) but it was poorly explained and the movie shifts its focus on one sentence character stories which are even worse :/ Good idea, horrible execution. Not worth your hour if you're looking at reviews for such reasons :-) Maybe if the movie would have been longer logical plot holes and such would be more bearable to watch. A shame nothing was properly explained, because the low budget has nothing to do with storytelling itself.

Not horrible not great
wesperkins24 August 2023
For what it is, it's not a bad movie. The potential was there for more. I have seen other people say that thing is horrible and some say it's great. I think the mix on opinions is because some of the actors really were good, but one of the female actors, was not. The plot was interesting enough, but one of the annoying things for me was, they were wearing hazmat suits, and the amount of times they took their masks off. If they have to wear it, and work truly concerned they wouldn't be taking them off every other minute to talk. Once the movie gets really going it hits a good stride, But then loses a lot of steam at the end. I don't think it was explained well enough and the special effects on the bad thing were not great. The infighting between the characters was a little annoying between me, and the technical part about cleaning didn't seem real enough, but for a cheap little hard movie it's not bad. Keep my attention anyway. The ending was just a little rough for me.

Stuff and nonsense.
BA_Harrison11 October 2023
A biohazard removal crew go to the site of a multiple murder/suicide to clean up the mess; while there, supernatural stuff starts to happen. When they try to escape from the house, they find all exits barred. Then more spooky stuff happens, none of which makes any sense. After a couple of the crew are killed, those left find some cheesy explanation for the occurrences - A Nordic demon is in the house - and more stuff happens. The only chance for survival is to find some ancient runic stones and destroy them-but the demon is too powerful. Cue end credits, during which some more stuff happens.

A flimsy plot stretched out to just about feature length by loads of random shizz (and some clichéd relationship drama), clumsy direction, and passable effects: Murder House (AKA 11th Hour Cleaning) is generic, forgettable low-budget horror that struggles to hold one's attention, even at a very short run-time of just 73 minutes (with at least six of those being the end credits). The cast do a reasonable job considering the hokeyness of the script, but at the end of the day, this film does nothing that we haven't seen many times before, and it doesn't do it very well.

Not bad
haskel-7295121 July 2022
Decent very low budget horror flick. It doesn't reinvent the wheel but it's better than some other reviews say. The plot could certainly use more expansion but for what it is - a cheap, straight to VOD indie horror movie- it's ok. It kept my attention, which is more than I can say for several other recent releases with much higher budgets.

Give in to me
nogodnomasters11 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Dylan (Edward Finlay) owns a crime scene clean up service. He gets the call late on night. His wife Rachel (Anita Leeman Torres) joins him on the call as well as Marcus (Ed Morrone) who is Rachel's brother and recently out of prison and a permanent fixture of their living room. Also is Hannah (Chloe Brooks) Marcus' ex-girlfriend. The family was murdered followed by a suicide.

Inside the house was bloody. We discover that the house is possessed by a Nordic demon and they are all trapped and their secrets are revealed.

I liked the characters and their relationships and secrets. What the film did not do well was the demon. The back story seemed haphazard and unconvincing. BTW one should not be concerned if a person with a full beard removes a half-face respirator, it never had a seal to begin with. And if a person is a trained hazmat cleaner, they can get a job with a felony on their record. I worked with a bunch of these guys in Atlanta.

Guide: F-word. No ex or nudity.

meh.... wasted potential
tony-146-69562610 July 2022
The movie at about 1:15 minutes long, and wastes a good amount of that in subplots concerning personal issues in the lives of the 4 protagonists.

When the horror starts to appear the movie finds it stride, but every now and them it goes back to the sub plots as if they mattered when their existence and sanity is at stake. Takes you out of the moment.

The movie is a low budget affair, with minimal special effects.

Actors are better than the movie.

It is almost scary.

Almost ok.

Ending feels like they ran out of time and decided lets just end it here. And the ending is dumb.

Not worth the bother.

Low budget, but good
hampersnow-413697 July 2022
11th Hour Cleaning does not reinvent the haunted house movie, but what it does, it does well. Obviously low budget, it was still well filmed and interesting , with great performances from the 4 main leads. I like that we were allowed to get to know the characters, this is not a bunch of teens, but about real everyday people, and that was a nice change. It was amazingly short, in fact a friend I watched it with liked it enough to want it to go on longer. I think the film makers and actors succeeded in making a good horror film on a small budget. Worth a watch.

Aimless movie with simple animations
olcayozfirat9 December 2022
Horror movie of 2022. As soon as the movie starts, you realize that the movie is amateur and bad because the shooting is done with a very bright and lively lens. Acting also serves this amateurism a lot. Also the animations are very simple.

As for the movie, the man who owns a body cleaning company gets a call in the middle of the night. There was a family massacre in a house. She asks the man to clean the house until morning. The man takes his wife, brother-in-law and another employee and goes to the cleaners. But there is a curse in the house.

There is no sex or nudity in the movie. But there is no purpose.

Pretty generic stuff here...
paul_haakonsen7 July 2022
I have to admit that I initially liked the cover/poster for this 2022 horror movie titled "11th Hour Cleaning". And as I sat down to watch this movie from writers Eric R. Brodeur, Ty Leisher and Ed Morrone, I did so without ever having heard about the movie. But the cover was interesting and it being a horror movie that I hadn't already seen was sufficient to make me give the movie a chance.

Well, "11th Hour Cleaning" was a pretty bland horror experience. Director Ty Leisher didn't really bring anything new to the genre, and the script was fairly mundane, generic and predictable. So you're not in for a grand horror experience when you sit down to watch "11th Hour Cleaning".

The acting performances in "11th Hour Cleaning" were adequate. Nothing outstanding or noteworthy. The cast ensemble were all unfamiliar actors and actresses for me, which is usually something I enjoy in movies. However, the cast didn't really have all that much to work with in terms of interesting characters, riveting dialogue or plot.

For a horror movie then "11th Hour Cleaning" was pretty stale. It wasn't scary, it wasn't overly entertaining, and there were no scenes to give you any shocks.

Sure, the visual effects in the movie were actually fair, but special effects can only do so much to make up for other shortcomings in a movie.

If you enjoy horror cinema, then "11th Hour Cleaning" is not a movie that I would recommend you rush out to get a chance to watch.

My rating of "11th Hour Cleaning" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.

Worse movie I've seen so far
isatoro7721 August 2022
The acting is deplorable. The concept boring and over done. Just bad as bad can get. The filming is cheap. Weird angles. Weird editing. Dumb script. I can't recover from something so bad. The face of the final scene, urgh SO BAD.

A world within a world ...
parry_na6 October 2023
A nicely paced, carefully made low-budget horror film, with a small cast of convincing actors and some immersive sound design. Director and co-writer Ty Leisher creates here a character-based, claustrophobic nightmare featuring my favourite setting - a world within a world.

Four crime scene cleaners find the house they are refining is under the spell of a Nordic demon, which you might consider to be bad enough - but it also makes escape impossible and maintains that whatever goes on inside is imperceptible to those outside. That's to say anyone calling will find the house impenetrable but there will be nothing of a suspicious nature, entirely impervious to the panicked cries of those inside the dwelling unable to make themselves heard.

The rising panic is well conveyed, and the occasional reminders of the characters' personal situations cause additional friction. The marrying of the mundanities of every day relationships and the madness of demonic possession is effectively conveyed. Only the familiar modulated voices and glowing CGI eyes advertise any unoriginality. My score is 8 out of 10.

Intresting concept.
dylanstewart-455916 July 2022
For a low budget movie, it looks good visually. Was fun to watch, as a supernatural horror movie. There are 4 main characters, although I only cared about 1 of them. The characters argue about their own personal issues while the main storyline is starting. This is a haunted house vibe, claustrophobic energy. The movie is only 1 hour and 11 minutes long so quite short, and the acting is quite good. There are some enjoyable plot twists, however there will be times you will feel annoyed at the way the story is going, only for it to be a hallucination to throw you off. Characters will make annoying decisions and it feels like the build up is better than the actual ending, although the very last scene before the first credits make up for it. There is also one more scene post credits that sets up for a sequel. If you are into supernatural/haunted house vibe then you may enjoy this. It was fun to watch!

stars for decent acting in a low budget film
amymay-699168 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
But otherwise this film made no sense. Literally the worst cleaners ever, rubbing out little tiny circles of grime. The "myth" made no sense, and the major plot hole of breaking the curse would be-the artifact was already in pieces. Destroying even one piece would ostensibly destroy the item, as it could no longer be made whole. But yeah, some chick destroyed pieces of rock with a flashlight. Suuuuurrre. Nothing was adequately explained, ending made no sense. But the acting wasn't bad,and that is where all my stars come in. Because bad acting is almost physically painful to watch, these actors did rather well given what they were working with.

Brilliant Conceptually, Would Love More Story.
icocleric10 September 2023
I liked it, the concept was really great. I love the fact they're the cleaning service after what's happened in a haunted house style thing. So you have the mystery of that, as well as what happening to the characters during the story. It did great for a Low budget film.

But I do feel some more explanation to what was happening super naturally would have made the film even better. The concept is really solid, so I do think it could have been even better if certain parts of the story were more developed. The acting is decent too.

I don't think all the characters are likeable, which would have been nicer to be able to root for them a bit more.
