Great storyline, but missed opportunities

I love the idea of Myr'nn's psychic powers causing issues but I some problems with those issues. The scenes between Kara and Mon-El seemed like another way she was running away from her feelings. Everything she mentioned about his previous behaviors was from before they even started dating, and they had worked out those particular issues before they got together. I just feel like she didn't romanticize anything about their relationship. They grew a LOT together and he began to change long before she lost him. I just wish that they didn't feel the need to have her "get over" Mon-El in that way. It didn't really seem to make any sense that she was still THAT mad about stuff THAT old that was before they were dating, even with his psychic disturbances. It also didn't make sense that those behaviors led to some pseudo revelation of romanticizing anything.

ya a comic book story, but so many real life issues

I've been binge-watching and I'd put this as one of the top 5 eps of the show because of how it handles some real life hard issues. Actor Carl Lumbly gives an award winning performance (I love when he winks at his son about Zoon). I guess even martians have weaknesses. The interactions between supergirl and mon el are less real except for capturing problems with relationships. Lena and Sam are somewhat akin of dealing with parent-child reversal relationships.

Catching Up

Great title of the episode. It reflects the inside story well. I just love the way the relationship between Mon-El and Kara is handled in this season. They got it very right. It's subtle, believable and engaging. Hoping to see some happy moments in this matter. Somehow i see a great improvement in all the subplots... maybe because I've just caught up with all the episodes and it is different when you watch every episode as a separate event.

Lame

Warning: Spoilers
This episode had great potential surrounding J'onn's father and Lena dealing with Reign but dumbing Kara down regarding things like holograms (of which we've seen her use much more advanced ones since season one) and having MonEl treat her like a child over one of her more iconic tools when she's been using her cape to shield and protect others from harm since season one as well was just pathetic. The only good bit was when Kara finally brought up how awful he was to her now that the Rose-colored glasses are off. Kara is better than him and having him propped up every five seconds is tiring.

The episode was funny, emotional, smart and had multiple good messages. the conclusion was a little messed up and could have been better...
