Warning: Spoilers
This episode was dedicated to the mourning of Kanan's demise. All of the characters dealt with it in different ways, and I loved to see how it all came together to craft a very sincere episode. It wasn't only the characters sitting around having fun memories about him amid their grief, but an episode that also progressed the plot by giving Ezra's an important storyline that is going to bring us back to something that was left unfinished a few seasons back. Meanwhile, Zeb and Sabine had dealings with the Empire, and I do think that their storyline was probably the weakest even though it gave us a cool fight with Rukh. Hera didn't really have a lot to do, but given the fact that she has been through a lot in the past episodes, it felt right for her to take a backseat this time around. I'm excited to see a return to the Jedi Temple, and I'm excited to see what secrets it might hold. There is going to be a lot to get done in these last few episodes, and if the season so far has told me anything, it is that they are going to bring it all the way, and hopefully end on a great and satisfying note.

I thought this was a really solid follow-up to the previous episode.

It isn't quite as powerful, but all of the mourning stuff was great. Not all of the Ghost crew are coping the same as each other. Zeb wants to get violent, Sabine wants to get payback another way, Ezra feels lost and scared, and Hera makes the courageous decision to consider Kanan a part of her family heritage and remain strong. I love her in this the most, perhaps.

Real-talk though; Rukh fighting Sabine and Zeb was awesome, and seeing Pryce getting scolded and possibly threatened was really satisfying.

Great episode, and everything it implicated has me scratching my head in wonder and excitement. I have no idea where everything will go from here. It's exciting.

Devastation

It is rare for any TV drama, let alone shows of fantasy/scifi genre to depict devastating loss as well as this story does. For an animated show to bring tears to my eyes and make me care so much about the pain of loss for each character is amazing. This is done magnificently well.

This episode is mostly about moving from the heartbreak of the previous incredible episode to progress the story onwards towards its conclusion. It does so movingly and expertly.

The mystical elements are fascinating but it is the character reactions which set this at the high level it is.

My rating: 10/10.
