Incomprehensible
neil-47629 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This is a film about a turf war in East London between the black gang run by Bev from her hairdressers salon, and the Turks, who are looking to take over. One of Bev's gang is working for the Turks without her knowledge. He is sent, with others, to Jamaica to carry out a hit on someone. When they return to the UK, things come to a head.

I'm not a young urban black man, I'm on old rural white bloke. Despite the script being in English, I could only understand one work in three, the urban patois being so unfamiliar and the accents so impenetrable. When they got to Jamaica, that went up to one in five, or worse. The film needed subtitles.

I hope it's not racist to say that I simply didn't understand the dialogue enough to follow what was happening - there was a period when some of them were in prison, then they weren't, for instance, and I didn't know why.

I hadn't heard of this film or its predecessor (which I hadn't seen). I think it might be quite good, but I'm really not sure.

Typical British gang film.
jwenn7112 January 2019
Very poor acting , The first film out of the two wasn't bad, st least it had a story to follow, but this one was very boring. Same old thing, drugs get robbed , boys want to get paid. I'll save you 2 hrs and say find another film to watch.

Don't bother watching this shambles
bomia427 September 2018
One of the worst films I've ever seen. I had high expectations after watching the first one and I was extremely disappointed the acting was shocking (you couldn't even understand what the jamaican characters were saying) the camera angle was odd it looked like something from YouTube, some of the scenes were too prolonged that it took out the authtenticiy of crime in london and last the story was tedious it was hard to interpret what was going on. It looked like they focused more on spending their money extravagantly on wild locations or making parties look lavish than actually working on the movies story. Some scenes were ruthless like the ones in the first film that made it look gritty. Not good enough to make it a watchable film though don't waste your money like i did

I really wanted to like it...
Soris235 October 2018
I really wanted to support the cause and I did make it through to the end credits. BUT it really was bad. It reminded me of one of those really bad soap dramas on terrestrial TV when you're abroad. In fact that's pushing it, at least those soaps have a plot you can understand even if you can't understand what they're saying!

It felt like different parts of the film were made by different people with different skill levels, different budgets, different visions and different scripts. Like they all went off and made their bit independently, then someone else tried their best to stick all the pieces together and make sense of it all.

Some good scenes, music and even 'some' good acting. But so far and few between. So much of it was that bad it was almost painful to watch. A real shame especially after the first one. Two stars because I feel bad it was that bad.

Very Bad Production and low budget
uchedanny15 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I always support black movement and all, but mehn this movie was not it.. you could tell there was proper low budget.. the camera they used looked like an iphone x and a drowne with the angles and all.. the shooting of guns in action parts looked like a fire work going off the story line had no sense. and going jamaica was so pointless.

Time To Unlearn
patrick197524 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I began to watch this film and after the introduction switched it off as it was just senseless. I then heard some youngsters talking with excitement about this film so thought okay lets give it a try. Why would all these guys who supposedly have some form of talent and backing to put a film together, want to act out this pile of garbage. Why would anyone read the script to this film and decide they want to be part of this nonsense. I noticed Sharon Duncan-Brewster aka Beverly, does not seem to be listed in the credits on IMDB, smart move. With all the senseless violence happening in London at the moment, films like this one do not help and need to be avoided. It is good to see a group of people come together and try to make a movie, but these pointless we need to get out the ghetto by robbing and selling drug movies, need to be unlearned and erased from the generation of youngsters now growing up in London. The films genre is crime, when it should actually be a comedy. It should have been filmed in front of a live audience so they could actually laugh and tell the production team, how stupid the film actually is. What did i learn from this movie, let me see, if The Intent 3 Comes out, there are some people out there who do not care about the young generation whatsoever.

Wasn't the best but seen a lot worse

To anyone saying it doesn't make sense because characters are in it that die in the 1st film... This is a prequel to the first so it's set before the first film was filmed

Doesn't make sense
skipper-2316927 October 2018
Why would characters who have died from the first film be in the second, usually first films carry on into the second which can take the audience on a journey. It made no sense to me at all, the acting was quite poor after high expectations and anticipation to see what all the fuss is about it was so annoyed to waste my time to watch something that wasn't leading anywhere the timelines were not good, and Caribbean accents were so poor, I would have been more grateful to see young Jamaican talent being invovled in this movie at least then the Caribbean accents would be have natural and authentic. We really do need story lines from black writers within the UK that can draw and educate the audiences, and draw them into a journey to learn more about the characters and the film itself

Who taught you how to shoot?
nogodnomasters1 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
In London, Beverly from Jamaica owns a beauty salon and raises foster children whom she trains to be her own personal criminals. Jay does not believe the gang is getting a fair cut. The gang gets 15% to split while Beverly gets 85%. Jay is talking to the Turks, a rival gang but tries to stay in the middle, an impossibility.

I didn't watch it with subtitles so I didn't understand everything that was said. The soundtrack was no talent voice cutter hip-hop that currently passes for music. Jay needed to grow a set and I found his inability to do anything until the end annoying.

Guide: F-word. sex. No nudity.

Cool to see my man Ghetts in the flick, but I couldn;t watch it more then 15 min, it is bad, it is not a film, not by definition of film I know anyway. There is a great opening track though, Trojan sound system, got nothing to do with film, but yeah, the only good thing I can say is the dancehall tune played at the party

Boring

Warning: Spoilers
A terribly boring film. Acting is bad. Also these are supposed to just be young gangsters. So how have they got the accuracy of fully trained government agents? Ridiculous

waste of time
saken-6246318 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is a waste of time.Jamaica has a lot more beauty stop portraying jamaica like all we do is get involved with drugs and violence also stop using these actors to speak with the worst jamaican accent. england has enough violence and drugs to make a movie so you could have kept the movie british.

Big cast! Waiting for intent 3
iplaydirtyy22 January 2019
Massive cast! All the original team plus Adam deacon and Ghetts and Popcaan! They all work well together. Hectic story line, popcaan feature was needed but it should of been kept brief/precise and the story focused back on staying in London. Dylan Gunz Duffus needed a bigger part in this.. I'm hoping this (Intent2) was actually meant to go in a different order, (similar to 4321 movie) this being the 1st, which would make more sense. Hopefully there is a Intent 3 in the making, which is/should be the middle of the three films. Bring Stormzy in next along with Richie Campbell, Ashley Walters & Jazzie Zonzolo
