Olivia Macklin and Dylan McTee are set to lead Paul Etheredge’s paranormal parenting thriller “Psychopomp” alongside Shawnee Smith, Avangeline Friedlander and Lily D. Moore.
The horror will spotlight Macklin and McTee as a couple who foster a “mute orphan” (portrayed by Friedlander). The child, however, has endured a calamitous past that will haunt the family.
“This act of love turns to horror when they find themselves besieged by a terrifying entity intent on destroying this newfound family from within,” reads the film’s official logline.
Macklin is best known for her role as Madre in the television miniseries “The Young Pope.” Additionally, she has starred in “Pretty Smart” and “Christmas Always Finds Its Way.” She’ll be seen next in Richard Lagravense’s “A Family Affair” led by Joey King, Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron.

Prior to Nexstar Media Group, Inc. acquiring a 75% ownership interest in The CW Network, the TV network reported $100 million in losses, canceled numerous series and retired long-time president Mark Pedowitz, seemingly signalling the end of grooming popular DC Comics' superheroes into woke TV content 'Lqbtq' characters:
The CW's recently canceled TV series include "Supergirl", "Naomi", "Batwoman", "Legends of Tomorrow", "In the Dark", the "Vampire Diaries" spinoff "Legacies", as well as the network's reboots of "Charmed", "Dynasty", "4400" and "Roswell, New Mexico".
Final seasons this year also include the series "The Flash", "Superman & Lois", "All American", "Nancy Drew", "Stargirl", "Walker" and "Kung Fu".
Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount Global, the current co-owners of The CW, will each retain a 12.5 percent ownership interest in the network and will continue to produce original, scripted content.

New CW Entertainment president Brad Schwartz has one job: Make The CW profitable for the first time ever — and do it by 2025, as new parent company Nexstar promised Wall Street.
On Wednesday, the day his post was announced, Schwartz told IndieWire that he “hopes to beat” the deadline.
“It’s definitely not going to be easy,” said Schwartz, whose official start date is November 7. Already, he said, there are some pieces in place, including “a lot” of revenue from ad sales and digital. “We’re not starting from absolute scratch.”
Schwartz has made a career out of turnarounds, launches, and rebrands. There’s been seven to date, the most notable being the time he rebranded the TV Guide Network as Pop TV, which brought us “Schitt’s Creek” and “One Day at a Time.” We began our telephone conversation by asking Schwartz if The CW needs a new name.

Roughly 30-40 employees of The CW were laid off on Tuesday by new owner Nexstar Media, IndieWire has learned.
The move is the first large scale overhaul at the CW after Nexstar, the largest television-station owner in the United States, took control of the channel’s operation on October 3. Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount Global, The CW’s previous owners, sold a majority of their unprofitable joint venture to Nexstar in June.
Among those laid off on Tuesday were Paul Hewitt, the CW communications chief since it formed from the merger of Upn with The WB in 2006. In his place, Beth Feldman has been named SVP of Network Communications, taking on the role in addition to her current duties as Nexstar’s executive director of communication, Networks division.

Netflix has taken peak TV to a new peak.
In a data point sure to fuel more quantity-versus-quality debate, Netflix broke its own record for number of original episodes released in a single quarter — with 1,026 in the third quarter of 2022, according to a tally by Wall Street firm MoffettNathanson.
That’s more than five times any other streaming rival: Amazon Prime Video and Hulu released 223 and 194 episodes, respectively, and Disney+ debuted 140 original episodes, per the report. HBO Max, now owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, released 114 episodes in the third quarter — significantly fewer episodes than usual and comprising the lightest slate for the service since Q2 2020, the second quarter after launch. Wbd has been paring back HBO Max’s content slate in recent months as it looks to cut costs.
All told, Netflix premiered 159 original and exclusive shows in Q3, topping its previous high-water mark of 143 in Q4 2021 (which totaled nearly...

The CW said goodbye to two popular dramas on Monday, and both shows limped to the finish line.
Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 13 managed 380,000 viewers and a 0.1 rating in the demo.
The series was down a bit week-to-week among total viewers for the episode that had about as much closure as expected given the circumstances surrounding the cancellation.
Leading out of that, the series ender of In The Dark pulled in just 230,000 total viewers and a rare 0.0 rating in the demo.
Both shows were canceled earlier this year, alongside a plethora of other CW dramas.
The CW being up for sale meant that there would be some big changes to its roster as we head into the fall season.
Over on ABC, The Bachelorette managed 3 million total viewers and a 0.6 rating, easily enough to lead the night in that measure.
However, the dating series has performed much lower than in previous seasons.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched “How’s It Going to Be?,” the Sept. 5 series finale of “Roswell, New Mexico.”
In May, The CW pulled the plug on seven shows, including “Roswell, New Mexico,” which was airing its fourth season. On Monday night, the drama aired its final episode — one that showrunner Chris Hollier and the writers planned on being the Season 4 finale, not the final episode ever.
During the last episode, Max (Nathan Parsons) headed off to save the world through portal — one that would allow him to return and live happily ever after with Liz (Jeanine Mason), who he still intended to eventually marry.
“There was one change afterwards where the console melted, and Liz would feel like, ‘Oh no, I just got engaged and maybe he’s trapped there forever.’ It was the only thing we removed,” he tells Variety, noting that...

Roswell, New Mexico ends its epic four-season run on a high note, with an emotional finale that has just the right amount of action.
It's hard to nail the perfect series finale for a variety of reasons, but Roswell does its best to satisfy longtime fans and close out storylines in a way that makes the ending feel more complete than not. And that's genuinely all you can ask for.
Where you stand on the events of Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 13 will be up for discussion, of course, but you can see they gave it their all with this one.
It was never going to be easy to wrap up all the various romantic entanglements and the looming Clyde threat in a short one hour, but the series did its best to hit upon everything that made it so unique throughout its run.

A wedding, an engagement and a journey to another planet — fans got all that and more in the series finale of “Roswell, New Mexico” on Monday night. And according to showrunner Chris Hollier, a lot of the night’s events were always the plan for the pod squad — except maybe Malex’s wedding.
Don’t worry, Michael Guerin (Michael Vlamis) and Alex Manes (Tyler Blackburn) were always meant for each other. Even Blackburn told TheWrap he’d have been “pissed” if the men didn’t get the ending they deserved. And indeed, Hollier told TheWrap this week that the “Roswell” writers “always knew there was a happy ending” for the pairing.
“We’d always talked about, like, the fact that we were starting Season 4 with a proposal, we expected people would have a wedding,” Hollier explained. “So how can we surprise them with what that wedding would be? And the answer was,...

Nathan Dean as Max Evans and Jeanine Mason as Liz Ortecho in ‘Roswell, New Mexico’ season 4 episode 13
The CW’s Roswell, New Mexico season four episode 13 serves as both the season and series finale. Picking up seconds after the end of episode 12, “How It’s Going to Be“ begins with Clyde easily stopping Isobel and Max’s attack. Rosa (Amber Midthunder) concentrates on tuning in on Clyde’s frequency and manages to free herself from his restraint.
Rosa surprises Clyde by smashing him over the head with a board, which gives Max (Nathan Dean) time to prepare to use the blue flame. Unfortunately, Clyde also uses the flame and knocks everyone over before kidnapping Rosa and escaping in a car.
The #PodSquad discuss their next move and Bonnie suggests they need to destroy the portal before Clyde can use it. Michael (Michael Vlamis) thinks they should hold off on that drastic move and Max agrees.

Surprise, surprise. “The Bachelorette” won with primetime viewers on Monday night.
The juicy episode in which the men who have been eliminated during Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia’s journeys to find love returned for one final moment in the spotlight during the “Men Tell All” special courted a 0.8 demo rating and 3.3 million total viewers and was the most-watched and highest-rated program of the night — which also helped boost ABC to the top spot among the broadcast networks.
ABC’s newest competition series “Claim to Fame” couldn’t hold onto the momentum though, managing only a 0.3 and 1.6 million total viewers (which is still fairly decent for broadcast ratings).
“American Ninja Warrior” also had a strong showing on NBC, with a 0.5 demo rating and 3.1 million total viewers. NBC was the second highest-rated network of the night.

What's your biggest fear?
It's a central question that has permeated this entire series when you think about it. Each character, at some point or another, has been faced with a fear that threatens to cripple them from the inside out if they don't stand up against it.
But even though so many of them have lived in a constant state of fear, Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 12 is the hour that exaggerates those fears. It forces them to make tough decisions that could have far-reaching consequences that they must be ready to accept.
All this to say, it was a very heavy penultimate installment.
As we've become accustomed to over the past two seasons, things move very fast in Roswell when each episode constitutes only a day. It raises the stakes, and it makes for a breakneck pace.
And while Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 hasn't felt quite as fast as Roswell,...

Malex fans came close to their royal wedding on Monday night’s episode of “Roswell, New Mexico,” but in the end, no nuptials occurred. The good news is, they probably still will! According to series stars Tyler Blackburn and Michael Vlamis, a wedding between Alex and Michael is something they’ve wanted as much as the fans have.
“It was about time. I definitely felt that,” Vlamis told TheWrap of learning about this particular storyline. “I’ve been wanting that for a long time secretly, on and off set with Tyler. And so finally, you know, getting it on the show!”
Jokes aside, both Vlamis and Blackburn were pleased to know that the fans would be getting what they want from the writers, one way or another — even if there were some hiccups along the way. Of course, one of those hurdles is a bit more terrifying than the others,...

This was certainly an hour unlike anything we've seen through four seasons of Roswell, New Mexico.
Sure, we've seen mindscapes a time or twenty, but this wasn't a two-minute scene of the chaos in Max's mind when he was dead or Michael and Isobel talking about their love lives.
Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 9 was a whole hour spent in the old west, with Liz and her doppelganger playing a game of cat and mouse while her friends tried to keep her alive in the real world. So, to put it mildly, this installment was a Trip.
Here's the thing about these kinds of episodes; you either love them or hate them.
There usually isn't much in-between when it comes to bottle-like hours that see the show shrunken down to its most basic parts to create an experience that allows a deeper exploration of the characters. The slower pace is...

Even without the family Christmas presents of throwing axes, Amber Midthunder was born to be an action star. Her father, David Midthunder, is an actor and stunt performer whose recent credits include “1883” and “Dark Winds”; mom Angelique Midthunder is the casting director of “Reservation Dogs.” The youngest Midthunder started working on screen when she was four (her first role: “Little Girl”) and, more recently, she’s had lead roles on TV series “Roswell, New Mexico” and “Legion” and parts in films “The Marksman” and “The Ice Road.”
But in Dan Trachtenberg’s clever “Predator” prequel “Prey,” the 25-year-old Midthunder is the lead. The fifth film in the venerable action franchise is set on the Great Plains in the fall of 1719 and follows Midthunder’s Naru as she battles a vicious alien warrior intent on taking her out, as well as her Comanche Nation tribe, a coterie of French fur trappers,...

Free Alex From The Underground!
I will be shouting that until we actually see Alex freed from the underground, which doesn't happen on Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 8. Though at least everyone knows he's missing now, and they even have a lead on his whereabouts.
Small victories, guys. Small victories.
This hour is a little up and down because the forward momentum stalls again in favor of more character work versus plot work, which isn't bad. It never feels wrong for Roswell to step back from the sci-fi and focus on the relationships, especially when one of the epic pairings of the season hasn't been as prevalent this season.
Malex were due this episode.

Since he came onto the scene during Roswell, New Mexico Season 3, preacher and alien extraordinaire Dallas has become a fan favorite.
There's something about the kindhearted man who gives timely advice and always has a quick retort at the ready that people connect with. And star Quentin Plair is even more affable and charming than his on-screen character.
Quentin is a class act with a deep respect for his craft, and it was a pleasure to speak with him about Dallas's journey, that cliffhanger ending of Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 7, and so much more.
This interview features such brilliant insight and so much laughter. Grab a little snack and enjoy this one!

What is an alien without powers?
Well, we're about to find out because, by the end of Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 6, two of the beloved pod squad find themselves no longer able to fling objects across the state of New Mexico.
Oh, what an hour it was.
The ending of this installment will undoubtedly be what's most talked about, but here's the thing; does anyone believe that Max will be without his powers forever?
It's always hard to get invested in a storyline that feels like it has a shelf life because no matter how big it gets, a part of you always knows where it will inevitably go. And it's tough to imagine that the series will culminate with a Max that can no longer fulfill his duties as the savior.
And let's lump Michael in there as well because I'm not buying his powers will never come back either.

Now, this is the Roswell we know and love.
Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 5 was the best installment so far this season, and coincidentally it was also the hour where we got a lot of information dropped into our lap. And while sometimes an hour feels so top-heavy with reveals that it becomes bloated and overwhelming, this was the exact opposite.
We got just enough to whet our appetites and move into the next phase of the season.
The big shapeshifter reveal at the end of Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 4 hung over the hour significantly as we learned some more about Tezca's mission and just whose body she was inhabiting.
Things have been off with Max since Jones showed up on the scene. And, hell, if we're being honest, things have always felt off with him. And while he's tried to almost suppress his alien side, especially as...

After weeks of pining over Isobel Evans, Kyle Valenti finally got the girl on this week’s episode of “Roswell, New Mexico.” Well, he got to kiss her at least. Series star Lily Cowles is staying tight-lipped on what comes next for them, but she’s pretty hopeful.
Of course, Isobel did just go through a pretty rough break-up. After finally mustering up the courage to let Anatsa in on her alien secret, it was Anatsa herself who turned Isobel away. It’s not that she didn’t love Isobel, it’s just that she didn’t believe true love should be so complicated and full of secrets. Not that Cowles faults Isobel for keeping that secret.
“It’s so complicated because it’s not just about her safety, it’s about the safety of her brothers too,” Cowles told TheWrap. “And we know that she will do anything to protect them.

When someone in the Valenti family is hiding a secret, odds are, aliens are involved somehow. Such was the case in the last episode of “Roswell, New Mexico” — and that particular secret leads Kyle and Isobel to a surgical team-up this week.
Granted, Isobel wasn’t always part of Kyle’s plans. In reality, he jetted off on his own after he and Isobel found a clue in his Eduardo’s office at Deep Sky. When Kyle arrives in Careyes, he finds an all-too-familiar artifact — an alien pod. The snag is, it appears Tezca, the third alien who’s been tormenting Roswell, is in this one.
After taking July 4 off, we return this week to Kyle mid-investigation on his discovery. But as he starts thinking things out, he hears someone coming. Of course, that someone is Isobel, who had a hunch that whatever item they found in Eduardo’s office would lead to something useful.

What a way to end an hour!
Roswell loves itself a cliffhanger, and Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 4 was no different in that respect, as we continued to learn more about Tezca and what she's ultimately after.
Okay, technically, we still aren't 100 sure what she's doing, but at least we know a little bit more about her reign of terror!
If you had alien shapeshifters on your bingo card, then you must be having a fabulous night.
This series has seen its share of bad guys, but Tezca is a whole new animal. The group knows nothing about her, which puts them at a significant disadvantage, and until this point, they didn't even know what she looked like.
Things with Tezca and the new triad are unfolding slowly, but this felt like the first installment with serious forward momentum. This was much less set-up and more exploration and explanation.

Max and Liz are doing better than ever.
After the events of Roswell, New Mexico Season 3, the bond between the two has only strengthened, and they're a well-oiled machine at this point. But after the engagement that wasn't on Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 1, it'd be normal for Liz to wonder if everything between them was still okay.
As you'll see in this exclusive clip ahead of Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 2, Liz and Max discuss the light show that rained down on them and also talk about where their relationship stands.
While the audience knows that the spontaneous rain shower was alien in nature, that fact hasn't quite made its way to our favorite humans and aliens, who don't believe what they witnessed was anything more than a weather anomaly.
But in a town like Roswell, is anything ever random?
It's nice to see a little slice of normalcy...

Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, the story follows a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
Directed by Trachtenberg, the film stars an almost entirely of Native and First Nation’s talent, including Amber Midthunder, newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (“Sooyii”), Michelle Thrush (“The Journey Home”) and Julian Black Antelope (“Tribal”). The movie also stars Dane Diliegro (“American Horror Stories”) as the Predator.

After reconnecting with her old crush, Roswell Pd Officer Max Evans (Parsons), she learns that he, his sister Isobel (Cowles), and their friend Michael (Vlamis),...

Roswell, New Mexico, certainly looks to be going out with a bang!
With only one more season left to finish up the series' epic run, things start action-packed for our heroes, who deal with relationship milestones and the arrival of some new aliens.
We were lucky enough to score some time with EP Christopher Hollier, who gave us some great insight into the couples, what's on the horizon, and what he hopes the masses remember about this show.
If you haven't seen Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 1 yet, turn away now! Spoilers abound from here!
Hi Chris, how are you?
Christopher Hollier: Hi, Whitney. I'm good. How are you doing?
I'm doing great. Thank you.
Christopher Hollier: Great.
So, I just want to jump right into the premiere here. We meet a new triad in this hour. What can you tell us about these new aliens and their presence in Roswell?...

The best part of this first hour is just seeing the residents of Roswell back on-screen.
It feels like forever since the events of Roswell, New Mexico Season 3 Episode 13, yet it also feels like no time has passed as we jump right back into the shenanigans and the drama right away.
Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 1 is a set-up hour. It's full of check-ins and relationship talks and a little mystery, leaving us with a gasp-worthy ending you may not have seen coming.
It's been a minute since the series has talked about the Alighting, otherwise known as the 'bring the savior home' event that Noah talked of way back in Roswell, New Mexico Season 1.
The phrase is uttered here by Tezca, one-third of a new triad that blows into Roswell and literally incites chaos within their first day.
The introduction of new aliens isn't a bad thing for a show about aliens,...

Roswell, New Mexico‘s fourth season wasn’t originally supposed to be its last, but based on the events of Monday’s premiere, you’d have thought that was the plan all along.
Not only are everyone’s favorite small-town hotties standing at life-altering crossroads — including Max and Liz (almost!) getting engaged — but a trio of new extraterrestrial baddies introduced in the premiere are scheming to enact “the alighting,” an event the show has referenced with considerable dread for the past few seasons. “This year, we wanted to define what the alighting actually is,” executive producer Christopher Hollier tells TVLine.

“Roswell, New Mexico” returns for its final season premiere on Monday night, and it’s bringing an old friend back into the fold — at least temporarily. Max Evans’ old partner and friend Jenna Cameron is back, and she needs his help solving what very well may be a crime committed by aliens.
Of course, this time around, Jenna Cameron (Riley Voelkel) is actually Agent Cameron, having taken a job with the FBI. But to be fair, she’s not the only one with a new title. Max (Nathan Dean Parsons) has one too; he’s currently the sheriff of Roswell (even if only in the interim). Their banter is as strong as ever, as Jenna needles Max by informing him that she only took the job “so I could outrank you, Evans.”
Jokes aside, there is a reason that Max was the one called in to help solve a bank...

Legends of the Hidden Temple will not be back for a second season. The CW has canceled its reboot of the classic Nickelodeon adventure format after one season, Deadline has confirmed.
The cancellation is not surprising — Legends of the Hidden Temple only averaged 222K Live+Same Day viewers through its run and only grew to 298K in Live+7. It was the CW’s lowest rated scripted series this past season.
The reimagining of the popular ’90s show hailed from Stone & Company, which produced the original series that ran on Nickelodeon for three seasons between 1993-1995. Hosted by Cristela Alonzo, the adult version preserved many of the original show elements including Moat Crossings, The Steps of Knowledge and the Temple Run as well as the team names such as Purple Parrots, Blue Barracudas, Orange Iguanas, Red Jaguars, Silver Snakes and Green Monkeys. But the rebooted version was taken out of the...
