I discovered Rodney in 2002 and have owned every album and song he has put out. He's always been one of my favorite stand up comedians.
I found this on Netflix and watched it with my wife (also a big Rodney fan) and we were kind of saddened by it. Rodney comes off as bitter about life, his relationships, getting older. It wasn't funny at all, it was sad. Like the big football star in high school who everyone loved, then you see him at your 20 year reunion and he hasn't grown up.
I hope Rodney gets it together and creates more material, hopefully he will find some happiness somewhere. But this particular special is not worth watching.

Worst comedy show I've been to! Most racist and not funny person to come about. He has to put down other people of different nationalities and that's not right the whole crowd was Caucasian and was laughing at people of different color I would never recommend going to one of these shows. Rudest guy to ever meet. Jokes were so against colored people people were offended. Couldn't even enjoy the show because of people trying to pick us out while we were having a good time. I would never recommend one of these shows.most uncomfortable I've ever been in a show. Most embarrassed I've been at a show felt like he was just picking on people of different color which is bullying.

Before I get a bunch of nasty feedback I want to let you know that I'm a fan of Rodney Carrington. He is a very funny man. But in this special it is very clear that the years haven't been to good to Rodney. Divorced (and wishing he wasn't) and about 60 lbs heavier (which isn't a bad thing - he looks good), the laughs are still there but there is an undercurrent of sadness to everything. You can tell he's just not happy. But he carries on. The title to this show is very appropriate. He is telling the truth. And sometimes the truth isn't pretty.
