I am older, so I realize that I am definitely not part of the target audience for this film, but I was intrigued when I saw a documentary about skateboard culture in California a few years ago and thought it might be interesting to compare to New York City (and I live right outside NYC.) Some of the skate scenes were entertaining, but the acting was awful (this would have been better as a documentary) and I get the whole skateboarder attitude of anarchy and not caring about the world around you, etc. (actually conforming to the notion of non-conformity; which is not new), but when you act that way about the one thing you supposedly love then you've lost me (and I suspect many others.)
