Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • During a fight, John Thornton is shot in the left hip by Hal. Hal is then pushed into a burning building by a Buck the dog. The building then collapses on him. We don't see the shot but we do hear it and we see the wound. Thornton later dies on screen of his injury.
  • A man is killed with a gun. And another is thrown into a building on fire.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A woman falls through the ice on a river for some time and is being pulled by the current underwater. Buck the dog jumps in the hole to save her, he and swims to her and grabs her and breaks through the ice.
  • It may be upsetting some at how the bad guy is overall cruel to the pack of dogs
  • Many times when a character seems to be dead, they are just weakened. Two deaths are near the end. It is not graphic but there is some gun violence
