Ending almost ruined it

Warning: Spoilers
A family drama about a patriarch desperate to bring his family together, he had to continue with his wrong diagnosis of lung cancer when in fact, he only has TB. Aside from the neglect of the doctor in differentiating these 2 diseases, the script of Seven Sundays is well written.

The portrayal of the siblings led by Aga Muhlach (Alan) and Dingdong (Bryan) were realistic and relatable. It didn't hurt the the 2 actors have mastered their craft in the past years. The conversations between dad and children and between siblings were seldom cringeworthy and almost never cheesy. Of course Valdez as the patriarch did a convincing performance.

Now that ending, a song and dance may be out of place but it certainly brought the movie to a rightful happy ending. It didn't deateoy tge rest of the movie dor me; nevertheless, maybe some other happy ending ideas can be thought of?

WAS A GREAT MOVIE , ENDING SCREW IT UP

Like many of Filipino films I expected this to be cheesy but man this was a great movie but the ending screwed it though , that dance and ratchet song! my god! this was ought to be a great classic but unfortunately the directors and producers choose a route to just destroy the first hour they build on pure and majestic plot lines! Man Filipino films need to step up and avoid making misses such as this film!

SUPERB💯

Unlike from many Filipino films containing family issues and dramas. Seven Sundays is way much better and different. Seven Sundays is such an interesting movie portraying real life situations happening in each family. This movie allows me to realize many things I should consider in life. First and foremost, we don't know how long will we be able to live and how much time we have left and we don't have forever to live but one thing is for sure, we must live our lives to the fullest, enjoy each moments with our family and we should express our love for them. Second, we must value our parents, for they sacrificed almost everything for us to have and experience better life. No matter what happens or what consequences each one of us have, we should always be grateful for our parents and we must treat them with respect like no other. Lastly, we must know when to admit one's mistakes. All in all, Seven Sundays us one of the best movies I've ever watched.

A family story based on reality
marielsuizon24 October 2019
It was a happy family before the presence of love and care was feel at that time they are contented on what they have but, when they grow they have their own lives and they are busy on their chosen careers but despite of that there father is always there to support them even though they don't have much time. Every Sunday his father was so excited because they are complete and it was overwhelming feeling to his father because even if it is only one day they value of it it's the day of a bonding time.

Great movie but...

Warning: Spoilers
It was a great movie in my opinion but the way they ended it kinda ruined it all. And there are unanswered questions, like what happened to Dex's case? Did they get to solve them or something? He was like the "unattended child" throughout the film and his story wasn't even given a bit of highlight. How about Cha? Did they do something about her cheating husband, who also hits on college students? So far only Allan's and Bry's struggles were somewhat cleared, and I don't think the dancing at the end justified everything. Great movie tho.

The essence of this movie is to make us see the importance of the family. We cannot say the day of your time in this world so you should love your family, spend time to them, feel them that they are always especial before it's too late. Seven Sundays is a very interesting movie because it is all about the family problems. The role of Mr. Ronaldo Valdez with the movie role as Capt. Manuel Bonifacio is a powerful role for this story because he is the one who have the hard part because he found that he have a sick so the boy of Mr. Manuel text all of his children to inform them to that bad news. One realization to this movie is that you need to be in a hard situation before they found your worth in their life. This movie is have a different mood like sad, comedy and happy. Watch this movie and learn to this story I promise that you will never regret this movie. Last word, enjoy your time together with your family because they are worth it for a happiness.
