Love Dembe
drnikic27 May 2021
I'm so glad that Dembe has progressed from the "strong silent type". He has a dry wit that we are starting to see more of, and his intellect is a match for any of the other characters.

Also loved seeing Red describe how and why Dembe is with him. Those two have a proper bromance.

I note some people are having issues with the political issue that arises. I'm glad I (and they) aren't in the position of refugees.

Trafficking and More
Hitchcoc23 November 2022
We have the search for a truck that is filled with refugees, with Dembe embedded among the people. Red must used everything in his arsenal to find out what has happened to that truck. Dambe has a touching connection with a little girl who feels hopeless and frightened. In the other tense situation, we have an evil man holding hostages, including Tom who is trying to save his own skin. The young woman who has been enlisting his help is gunned down as is his other connection. Of course, he's married to Elizabeth now (not the marriage made in heaven). The narrative has a good hook to end it, involving Tom.

Ten stars for Dembe alone
foamythefearsome4 October 2022
I have grown very fond of Dembe, and this is one of those episodes where he shines. I like how he gets more involved with the rest of the team after we first saw this happening with Aram in Dembe's titular episode. He's smart, caring and calm at the same time, and is willing to go through great lengths to get stuff done.

But perhaps the most beautiful thing in this episode was Reddington's description of Dembe; to see him panicking even more than when his own head is on the line. That part gave me chills and tears in my eyes.

Also what's up with the geography nuts? At the time this was made, the country in question was globally known as Macedonia. They don't always get their stuff right, but this is not a goof, this is just irking over namesake from your end.

Distances
h-klaassen6 October 2019
People are flying and driving across countries and are on the scene within the deadlines. This goes for almost every episode. Furthermore this particular episode has a clear view of Dembe and others in the truck while they are locked in. It should be pitch dark in there.

Now I Understand
pb23217 November 2017
As dumb European I'm glad The Blacklist writers have taken the time to explain the complexities of the Economic Migrant catastrophe currently affecting many European countries.

I'm hoping that next week they can show the path to world peace, all from the comfort of their executive chairs and sheltered Hollywood lifestyles.

Stick to fantasy please. Another episode like this and I'll need a new TV.

Getting worse every week

Warning: Spoilers
I used to love this show, Spader is pure gold in absolutely everything he does and he's the only thing keeping this show afloat at the moment. The writers have gotten far too preachy for my liking. The premise of this show used to be a master criminal manipulates the FBI to take out his competition and get closer to his daughter in the process. Now he's no longer a master criminal, the side-plot with his daughter has become boring, and the writers are trying to compensate for lack of substance by pushing their own moralising BS. Sorry guys, not everyone shares your view of the world, and you'll only lose viewers by inserting yer own biases into an established show.

Of the 7 episodes this season has given us so far more than two of them could be classed as filler episodes, completely forgettable. Of the rest we've had Black Lives Matter nonsense pushed on us (not to say all BLM issues are nonsense, but Blacklist picked up the more ludicrous ones), and this episode was little more than virtue signalling about African and Middle-Eastern migrants crossing borders illegally.

Let's get back to what made this show great eh? You've put yourselves in a position to create a great story about Reddington regaining his empire, leave your own BS at the door.

It is FYROM not Macedonia
As a Greek , living in the real Macedonia i am astonishingly ashamed that one of my most favourite series ever is calling Fyrom as Macedonia ! The name of the country is Former Yugoslav Republic Of Macedonia or FYROM with capital city Skopia. Macedonia ,on the other hand, is one of the six geographical compartments of mainland Greece and not a Nation . Please be more considerate of these gentle political matters .

ONLY TELLS ONE SIDE OF THE STORY!
gleneverett26 September 2019
Love the series, but apparently it has moved way to the left. This episode gives you a picture of the plight of illegal immigrants (yes i said that!). I do have empathy for those trying to escape oppression, but I also see the other side.....I see our country being over run with illegal immigrants! It is destroying Europe and it will destroy the US!

Mediocre
nicolasboeyer26 October 2022
Mediocre episode. Not a lot with actual meaning to the plot happening, except for what's hinted at in the last minute of it. Other than that, it's just pushing an agenda. It would be nice to wove in migrants trying to reach Europe and all the misery that comes with it in the show, definitely, so it gives viewers a chance to inform themselves about the issue. But that's not what this is. This episode is just clearly pushing the notion of "all those poor and innocent migrants are always victims of either the smugglers or the bad Europeans and absolutely every person must be in favor of them just coming and staying here". They show literally wants you NOT to come to your own conclusion, it just pushes this agenda. Sad.
