This film explores 'DID' - ('Dissociative Identity Disorder') formally known as 'Multiple Personality Disorder'. DID is a complex psychological condition where the human brain develops multiple personalities. These 'Alters' or different identities have their own age, sex and/or race. As each personality reveal itself and controls the individuals' behavior and thoughts, its called 'Switching'. Switching can take seconds to minutes to days. It is a mechanism of defense and a barrier against the pain.
