This is pretty good!

I'm really digging this season. It has so far consisted of individual arcs for 2-part episodes and it sounds like that'll likely be the case for the rest of the season. This arc wasn't too bad. Not one of the best, but the fairly serious tone saves it from feeling useless. That, and some great moments between the characters.

Kanan and Hera's short-lived moment in the alley is something I've wanted to see for a long time in this show. Their relationship isn't something that's ever been deeply explored, and now we sort of understand why. It's sad, really. I want them both to just be so happy together.

I also felt the uncertainty and helplessness these Rebels are dealing with. I'm writing this review I'm the summer of 2022. With everything happening in the world right now, I understand how it feels to want to do something that's out of your control. The fact that there's a war starting/happening in this show adds to the realism.

Perhaps I'm looking too deep into this episode. Like said, it isn't one of the best in the show, but it was throughly entertaining, thought-provoking, and legitimately exciting at times. This season has been great so far.

Also, Hera in that tank top😏

Lothal Boy
A_Kind_Of_CineMagic22 October 2020
This takes our heroes back to Lothal which they find has been deeply affected by Imperial occupation.

The dark aspects of the effects of occupation are interesting and admirable. The lighthearted aspects of chases and verbal exchanges are not as great but are ok for a family show.

Somewhat of a filler setting up forthcoming episodes but a decent bit of foundation.

My rating: 7.5/10.

The Occupation

One thing that I will definitely say about this season, is that it is showing great signs of having a narrative that goes through the entire thing, which I've been missing a bit from previous seasons. It feels like more relevant things are happening and that everything is leading to something. This episode, however, wasn't the most exciting one. I thought the throwbacks to previous seasons were great, and I loved the idea of going back to Lothal, especially because of the circumstances. The idea of the Empire ruining the world because it was sorta the world where the rebellion started is a great aspect. The episode did also call back to some specific things that never interested me. I've never found Vizago that interesting, and his inclusion in this episode simply looked like they needed someone to stand in for Lando, because they weren't able to get Billy Dee back. I didn't think the episode was bad, but it didn't necessarily blow me away, largely due to its childish tone at times, and it's specific throwbacks to things that never really interested me in the first place at all.

Hera looks incredible

Warning: Spoilers
Watch for Hera's outfit. Oh my goodness. 10/10.

Lothal being burned by the Empire is super sad. Zeb looks absolutely incredible in his disguise as well. Sabine's hair is also fire and Ezra's hat is a revaluation.

Such a fun find and you should definitely watch it and the rest of the show. Kanan also looks incredible. Honestly for the outfits alone this is a great episode. Kanan and Hera have a super steamy moment that was just too good. So sweet I can't.

Yavin at the beginning of the episode!!! Getting so close to A New Hope! I'm getting ready to watch the new Ahsoka show and honestly I can't wait.
