RetroBlasting is one of the smartest shows on Youtube. Far removed from being corporate shills, each episode is chock full of biting commentary and honest criticism. Focusing mostly on 80's nostalgia, Michael and Melinda present a well researched and highly polished look at such properties as Star Wars, Transformers, G. I. Joe, Masters of the Universe, Voltron, and more. Each episode is presented in a frank, humorous light that does not treat these beloved childhood franchises with kid gloves, yet rather explores their shortcomings and strengths; and why these brands mean so much to us. While some fans might find their approach confrontational, RetroBlasting's passion and blunt truthfulness is impossible to deny.

It's not what it used to be

RetroBlasting used to be such a great channel, but now all they ever review is modern or customs (which are still modern). Worse, Michael has to pick fights with people over the dumbest stuff; he can't take any criticism and acts like a baby if someone doesn't fall in line with everything he thinks. He views himself as Captain America or Indiana Jones, always fighting German WWII soldiers when, in fact, it's usually him acting that way, shutting down comments he deems offensive, whether they are or not. Avoid at all costs if you don't want to be cussed out by an angry manbaby who has an unhealthy obsession with Kylie Minogue.
