What was going on before between Frank and that woman about to face eviction. After all, she was throwing all sorts of objects out her third floor window apartment. The mere fact that the archdiocese had owned the building and had sold it to a developer now demanding her ouster did not give her the right to throw things down. She remembered Frank from when he was an officer on the beat. What else was going on?

Danny's son asked a very disturbing question to his recently widowed father and I think that under the circumstances, Danny deftly responded. Despite the dangers in our lives, we don't know what is in store for us regarding who goes first.

The case with the lawyer being sent up to prison and serving 9 years for allegedly beating a young heroin junkie female was interesting but needed further explanation. Totally rehabilitated, she now recanted her original testimony and the guilty party was now to be brought to justice. Where was she all this time before?

Danny & Sons Coping

I am mainly writing point out an error in the review by bkoganbing: Mimi Rogers character was the paint-dropping artist being evicted, not the angry table-tossing spouse. When the Amy Carlson character was cut my initial reaction was "What are the producers thinking?" But I now think the writers are getting a lot more mileage out of Donnie Wahlberg's character as grieving widow coping with his grieving sons and when he starts dating again, probably with officer Cosgrove, there are many possibilities and the currently married characters of Estes and Rey offer lots of crazy complications. Lots of great scenes with Rogers, Keach and the regular cast make this episode shine. Not to mention Moynihan showing rare fallibility and self-doubt. I've enjoyed this season greatly and the Commissioners official portrait by Roger's is not to be missed. Probably my favorite episode in a season full of great ones!

Heartwarming and well-written episode, with the typical multiple plot line formula. The plot with Frank is a true gem. I wish all were this good.

Mimi Rogers does an excellent job as an aging 70s artist whom the Commissioner once met as a patrolman. Great fun!

In a right frame of mind

This Blue Bloods episode gets off to a flying start as Bridget Moynahan while dining with her investigator gets attacked by Mimi Rogers who says she killed her husband. As she's led away Steve Schirippa mentions that New York hasn't executed anyone in decades so what could she be talking about.

What it is is Rogers was speaking figuratively in that the man she married is not the same man who was recently released from prison. Prison will take a lot out of you. The husband was set up for assault and rape basically on the testimony of the victim. The truth is arrived at. Was Moynahan in a right frame of mind when she prosecuted the case?

The rest of the episode concerns Tom Selleck getting a request for a personal favor from Archbishop Stacy Keach. The Reagans never turn anything down from the church, but this is one to just avoid some damaging press. Lord knows the Catholic church gets a lot of that these days.

And Donnie Wahlberg and Marissa Ramirez catch the homicide of an NBA star who overdosed. He used to run with a drug crew in Philadelphia so he has shady associates. Of course they get the truth of the matter.

All three of these stories do involve people who were done wrong. The stories are nicely packaged however.

Too many creative licenses

Warning: Spoilers
They completely brushes over the moral and social implications of violating HIPPA and the law does not allow for eviction of tenants after a building sale.

This show used to do a good job of discussing both sides of different moral and social issues. Did we lose all the original writers?
