One of the best thing to watch if you want to become an Astronaut.

AS an Aspiring Astronaut, at first it was difficult to understand how exactly the training process worked and on what basis were the candidates selected. After Watching this show, it's crystal clear. It also provides with great inspiration for other aspiring astronauts. I think if everyone on this planet watched this show, they'll definitely have greater respect for scientists, astronauts, engineers and everyone in the STEM community.

A Better Way to do this

Warning: Spoilers
Like U.S. NASA, most U.S. Astronauts start out as U.S. Military before they are even considered to become NASA Astronauts, the Main Reason is Physical Fitness as Tested every Year.

The Second Reason is Individual Discipline required of the U.S. Military.

The Third is being Calm under Pressure.

The Three above can be seen with Astronaut Candidate Royal Air Force Pilot Kerry, 33.

The Fourth pertains to U.S. Military Special Operations Forces as Trained as Actual Life or Death Teamwork, regardless of most Team Members having Type A ("Alpha Male") Personalities.

The Fifth pertains to those that work with or on Critical Systems, like Nuclear Weapons, there is no such thing as "Getting something right the second or third time".

Currently during Peacetime the U.S. Military Recruiters do not waste Time and U.S. Taxpayers Money, as potential U.S. Military Recruits must Pass the U.S. Military Physical Readiness Test before even being considered to be a Potential Recruit as the "Brawn" part. Potential U.S. Military Recruits must also have High Scores on the the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (A.S.V.A.B.) to sign the Contract as the Brains part of "Brawn and Brains". Most of these Astronaut Candidates that are not were not Military would have failed even getting on this Reality TV Show using basic U.S. Military Criteria.

Then there are the U.S. Military Civilian Education Level Standards and U.S. Military Education Level Standards that you MUST have in order to get Promoted and Retention.
