- Violence is realistic and generally mild, but can be upsetting: a teacher marches a boy forcefully up a school hall by his ear saying "Look at the dunce!" and calling him a donkey in front of the other kids.

- Domestic abuse is shown throughout the show. It is not really graphic most of the time but can be shocking still
- A man is seen being violently beaten. His face is bloody. Some blood splatter is seen
- A man is seen being kicked and thrown down the stairs (offscreen). Quite disturbing.
- A man is seen being violently beaten, resulting in lots of blood on his face. At the same time, his girlfriend is being raped. Really disturbing

- The show can be pretty intense at times
- In season 2, there is a scene of a man getting beaten with some kids crying. Really intense and disturbing
- This show deals with intense themes. Some really violent and intense scenes are seen, such as instances of realistic violence and rape

Sex & Nudity
- There is a subplot where a much older man (the father of a schoolmate) tries to have sex with Elena. He passionately kisses her and rubs her genital area. This is a little disturbing to watch, as Elena is shown to be 15 years old and is clearly shocked by the man's behaviour.
- In season 2 there is also fondling of the genitals, a rape scene and a sex scene between an older man and a young girl.
- In season 2, a rape scene. We see the girl's breasts. Pretty graphic and disturbing
- There is a scene in season 1 where Lila is in a bathtub. Lenù is washing her and at a certain point she stands up. Breasts and pubic region are clearly visible. The scene lasts for about 15 seconds.
