Nene Raju Nene Manthri is a must watch for the most beautiful heart touching love story of Radha and Jogendra.Apart from that,NRNM is just OK.

Nene Raju Nene Manthri (2017): Following the back-to-back successes of Ghazi and Baahubali 2, expectations are quite high on Rana's Nene Raju Nene Mantri. Teja, who is eagerly waiting to bounce back with a solid hit, has directed NRNM. Kajal pairs up with Rana for the first time in this movie which has hit the screens today after a huge round of promotions and interesting teasers. So how is it? Plot: Jogendra (Rana) is a good-natured financier. He loves his wife Radha (Kajal) so much that he rechristens his name as Radha Jogendra. An unfortunate incident involving the village Sarpanch (Pradeep Rawat) and his wife results in Radha's miscarriage. Jogendra avenges the injustice by becoming the Sarpanch. A series of dramatic events motivate Rana to become an MLA and then a minister before he sets his eyes on the Chief Minister's chair eventually. Can Jogendra overcome the impending powers that come in his way? Does his love for Radha remain the same in his lust for power and fight for survival? You need to watch the movie to experience the high-voltage drama.

My Review: Nene Raju Nene Manthri is shown as a high voltage political drama in its teasers and promotions. But what came as a surprise is its beautiful love story of Radha and Jogendhra.

Of all the messy political scenes, all the emotional scenes between Jogendra and Radha are excellent. There are lot of scenes which showcase true love in this movie.Even when Jogendra gets corrupted and starts affair with journalist,Radha still believes that Jogendra never leaves her.For Radha, whatever Jogendra does is right.Even Jogendra loves Radha every minute and he never dare to look in her eyes when he does anything wrong. The love story between Radha and Jogendra is what turns Nene Raju Nene Mantri into an emotional drama, and you root for both the characters, despite the grey shades in Jogendra's persona.

Rana surprises with his menacing performance as Jogendra. He effortlessly transforms from being a kind-hearted village man to a dreaded politician who lusts for power. His performance in emotional scenes shows his maturity as an actor. It truly is a performance that we won't forget anytime soon and the actor knocks it out of the park whenever he's required to be extremely emotional or angry. The biggest revelation of this drama is Kajal Aggarwal. There comes a moment in every actor's life where they realise what their true potential is. It might have taken Kajal a long time to really explore a different side of his acting chops. She's so good in the film. You can feel her pain, her warmth, and even her anger in those moments when she's heartbroken. This is a film which she'll be proud of and it also comes as a reminder that she has a lot more to offer than what we might know.

Dialogues are also one of the best of this year. All the proverbs are brilliant and it is surprising that it really links with the scenes.

Apart from the good, there are lot of drawbacks too.The rise of Jogendra has taken lot of cinematic liberty.Especially the pre-climax where he bomb blasts entire assembly is so over the top.The political games are nothing new as we have seen this deceiving games in lot of films.

So,Nene Raju Nene Manthri is a must watch for the most beautiful heart touching love story of Radha and Jogendra.Apart from that,NRNM is just OK.

An Epic movie on "Politics and Sacrifice of Love"
puneetg-551848 February 2018
An Epic movie on "Politics and Sacrifice of Love" on a known subject but depicted in a very different way. Not comparing it with the all-time masterpiece "Baahubali 1,2", but neverthless Kajal and Rana Daggubati were just too good pair. Very realistically it has been showcased, how politics make a person change his priorities and preferences. Amazing cinematography , story and acting! Worth watching!

Beautiful Love Drama

Teja bounced back with wonderful Love drama ..Rana Excellent Performance ...Must watch the Movie ...This movie is just awesome. A must watch Telugu movie (pretty rare these days). Acting: Rana was just mind blowing - prefect for the role. All of the scenes involving Rana were brilliant. Rana exceeded expectations. The director (Teja) maintained good grip over the movie and created a near perfect movie for the budget. Teja is a director to watch out. with "Nene Raju Nene Mantri " he hit the bulls eye in his penchant for character studies. I would say this is a must watch for anyone who likes good real cinema.

In his world.. He is the King, He is the minister...

Warning: Spoilers
If you are expecting a formulaic telugu action/masala movie, sorry this is not for you. While it has many Tollywood clichés, it still manage to present a good refreshing story. The main character Jogendra is totally not something you will see in telugu mainstream cinema. He isn't even a hero. From witty kind hearted to the power hungry ruthless a bastard of a politician, Rana did an awesome job with it. Kajal is beautiful as always and she atually had a female character with a depth which wasn't just eye candy. Ending was on point, exactly how it should be. Had few goosebumps moments. Overall, a well made, underrated political thriller. 7.5+/10

Radha Jogendra. Their love for each other is just beyond boundaries.

Kajal Aggarwal did a splendid performance all together from being a lovely housewife to sacrificing herself for the greater good.

Edge of your seat drama

I went into the film with great expectations, showing the power of Rana. upon coming out of the Bahubali franchise, we are not bombarded by a Brute strength body builder hero, but a smart and cunning one. The movie despite its lengthy nature kept interesting the whole way through, with the nail-biting tension kept throughout the entire movie.

Rana's acting was out of this world, proving his diversity as an actor, being extremely convincing in his role, showing both a passionate husband, as well as a motivated and somewhat evil pilitician.Supported by Kajal very well with her emotional performance bringing tears in my eyes. I was literally shaking in my seat with their convincing performances.

Teja has shown that he is capable of creating masterpieces, and I only expect great things going forward. the angles and build up shots were very well executed.

my overall verdict is that the film is not a family entertainer, but is definitely a work of art that can be appreciated by more mature audiences.
