Disappointed with details
linechoaz1 October 2018
If you're going to make a trilogy you should make sure that there is continuity. The first movie was charming and I was looking forward to the next in the series. I just had trouble getting past the house and the goats! The first house was very pretty and they painted it green. It looked like a perfect B & B. The one in the second movie is an ordinary house and it's white and blue. Enter the goats. They're a significant part of the story and they look completely different from the ones in the first movie and yet they're supposed to be the same goats. The mama goat was white and cream and the kids were pure white. In the second they're all black and white. It's very annoying. The kitchen that they worked on so much in the first one is totally different. If they couldn't get the same place they should've at least tried to make it look the same. I wonder what we will get in the third movie. I'll find out today because I still love the stories and cast, just wish they'd pay more attention to the details.

I really enjoyed it, but it falls just a tad short
catsmeow-123 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Like many others, I love the first All of My Heart movie. It is one of the best films that Hallmark has ever done. So, again like many others, I was eagerly awaiting the sequel and had high hopes that it would be as good as the first film. Though I did really enjoy All of My Heart: Inn Love, it falls just a tad short.

Surprisingly, though both Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott again did really great jobs here, the fantastically charming chemistry that we saw between them in the first film, seemed just a little "off" this time, and the writing itself was also somewhat flat. The "Jenny" character was a bit whiny this time, which is completely contrary to how she was in the first film. The "Brian" character seemed about the same, though there was a bit too much improvisation with him early in the film this go around, and it seemed a little forced at times.

It was very good to see the rest of the original cast return. However, I really did miss the original house in the sequel, which was pretty much almost a character itself in the first film. And though I understand why different goats were used, it would have been nice if they had more closely resembled the original Gabby and her babies.

Lastly, I did expect/had hoped for Jenny and Brian's wedding somewhere along the way in the sequel, but that was not to be. Hopefully, if there is another film, there will be a wedding. I do hope there will be another sequel so as to tie up loose ends, and continue and/or finish the story. The final scene gives the impression that the story does continue. I hope so. Stay tuned.

One of the better ones
velvetwynter_220 February 2020
I liked the first one in the series, it was better than most with an interesting storyline and not the usual sappiness. This one not as much mostly because I did get very tired of Jenny being overly needy in her relationship with Brian, and not being very understanding of Brian trying to keep a roof over their heads. Other than that it was fairly good.

Not All of My Heart (this time)
moho-4026015 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
All of My Heart is a Hallmark favorite for everyone and I'm no exception. I cannot count how many times I have seen it so needless to say, after two years when the news of the sequel broke, I was ecstatic--I was going to be a guest at Emily's Country Inn with Jenny and Brian as my hosts. However, when I got there, there were some very big changes . The most obvious one was the house. It was not the rambling green farm house with the pretty front porch. This was a small blue one that looked like, from the outside, it could barely fit a family of four. The next big change was the kitchen. It was so homey in the first movie and now it was "renovated," and lost a lot of its charm. Third was Gabby and her kids--they were different goats all together. Ed Asher was barely in it, and as much as I adore Brennen Elliot and his character Brian, I felt Mr. Elliot did too much ad libbing. Lacey was as charming as ever, however, she did get a big sulky, which was a bit of out character. The romance subplots were okay, but not believable, especially the blogger one. It was nice to see our old All of My Heart Friends, however, that's the risk you make with a sequel--the first one is so loved it's hard sometimes to continue on with the story. I think Jenny and Brian's story can continue, but Hallmark will need to get better writers and please, if that does happen, go back to the original farmhouse. That was truly the "heart" in All of My Heart.

Where is Director Peter Deluise when you need him??!
trishnorman-8804918 August 2019
I LOVE the first movie, "All of my Heart". It is excellent. And as actors, I LOVE both leads. Imagine my dismay when KEY aspects of the first movie are altered for "...Inn Love". No offense to Terry Ingram, idk you; but you blew it! You had the same writer, cast and a built-in audience! I'm shocked that there is a third movie frankly because the second one was so flat. And, for #3 I'm just learning, they lose the house??!? Then what the heck is the point?!?!! Whose brilliant idea was that?!?! I hope not KB.

I have again been reminded of the importance of good Direction. And hello? Continuity??!?!!! I am rewatching #1 AGAIN because it's SO good. I erased #2. Not worth seeing again. The loss of continuity is TOO distracting. And VERY irritating!!! And I WILL NOT even bother with #3. Why bother? It's Terry Ingram again, so I imagine I would be PAINFULLY disappointed. Great way to ruin a great thing fella! 😫😤 Lacey and Brennan, I really enjoy you both. Your work Individually and together. Best wishes to you both. And thank you Karen Berger for creating the characters and original story. Sincerely, Trish Norman

Goodish

Warning: Spoilers
It's a passible for a sequel. But you can tell the goats are totally different. Why do a sequel if you couldn't get everything the same. Story is basically the same. The place is falling apart and their in a rush to open for business. The baking side isn't profitable yet as their broke. The inn is slowly getting guest so a little money is coming in. She apparently despite her waitress friend now owning the coffee shop is giving the food for free, then in exchange for use.

He gets the opportunity to make money back on wall street . She sulks and whines he's never home while still whining about no money that he is out making. Since her side business crashes when her distributor gets bought out she still whines he's not home to the point of breaking up and claiming he's back to the person he was when they met. I guess he's supposed to be up her ass 24/7. Yes I get she was worried he wouldn't want to come back. He does spend the night once in a while but mostly came home at the end of the day. Then even when she gets a new distributor there's no guarantee it will work out.

Then there's a mini side story of a blogger who really should have been doing 4-5 star hotels. She's a royal snob (note she is not royalty just the stereotypical snob you see from princess' in these Hallmark movies). She's drinking coffee with a friend and then turns her nose and wants a latte. Then does nothing but complain about the bed and breakfast places she visits. I admit I know nothing about B&B's but they are not 4 star hotels. Holiday Inn won't offer to take your luggage up to your room and this girl was appalled that Jenny didn't jump down and grab it.

At one point Jenny was going out to a party for Brian and princess blogger was practically foaming at the mouth that Jenny had the gall to leave. She was leaving 2 others there so it's not like no one would be around in case she needed something. Tommy shows and offers to help install a new plug and she stops complaining because she's too busy drooling over him. Then later complains to her friend that the place was as much of a dumpster fire as all the others she's reviewed except for the food. Then gives it 5 stars on her blog because she doesn't want to upset Tommy who she was in a date with and knows he's good friends with the owners. Otherwise she'd have probably given it like 2-3 stars based on her high standards. Jenny had even said at one point princess blogger gave one place a 1 star for slow internet. My guess is B&B's are all she can afford to stay in and travel.

In the end Ben felt forced by Jenny breaking up with him and not being home often to quit his high paying job. She was overjoyed with it. She never gave an ultimatum just guilt trips about not being who he became staying.

Predictable but Plotworthy
divyamohanraj-455181 September 2020
I liked this movie a lot, especially the plot. It was different from the previous one because there was less comedy for one thing but there was a bit of character development. It is easy to fall in love but it is challenging to nurture a relationship when there are conflicting interests. Honesty and communication are keys to a healthy relationship. This movie portrays exactly that.

Enjoyable

Chabert and Elliott together again.

Plot Couple renovate a house together (and yes Hallmark, we did notice that it is a different house) they almost loose the house Brian returns to Wall Street to keep them financially afloat until they can get the Inn up and running successfully. Jenny worries that Brian may be falling for the lure of Wall Street again and may be tiring of their small town/country life.

Different house, different goats, we can deal with that.

Seriously, it is a very good movie and well worth watching Chabert and Elliott always shine together, the perfect movie couple.

My advice: Good family film, watch it together.

Loved the goats
jewelch20 January 2021
If you like Hallmark movies like I do, this will be one of your favorites. The two main actors are skilled and adorable. There's precious baby goats and mama goat in this for you animal lovers. The lead actress is a chef for you cooking enthusiasts. The lead actor is a handyman in training thanks to the mentoring of this wise, great guy at the local general store. Supporting cast is quite good. Ed Asner even has a small but endearing part in it too. James Welch Henderson Arkansas 1/18/21

A Hallmark Keeper
kcterrell-2504623 June 2022
Another Hallmark cookie-cutter romance, but this one is surprisingly touching and satisfying. Aside from Ed Asner's gargoyle stand-in role, the characters are somewhat developed and believable. But, in the end, it's Lacey Chabert that steals the show. After this film, I went back and watched Mean Girls, and saw her amazing acting talent on display. Plus, she must be one of the most beautiful stars in Hollywood. Such a shame that Hollywood blacklisted her because of her religious convictions, but good for her staying true to herself and her beliefs. A truly touching story of inner-city types discovering the peace and joy of living in the country where life is thriving all around you. And through that experience find each other. Brennan Elliot seems just to be along for the ride, but Jenny helps him along into true romance. Strong performances by Daniel Cudmore (Tommy) and Heather Doerksen (Casey), but in the end, it's Chabert's film and she shines.

Needed Some Drastic Script Changes
foxielives8 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I loved the first All of My Heart. Like others, I felt like the house itself was one of the characters. I looked forward to the sequel to see what was going to happen. But, I have to say, I was pretty disappointed. It was hard to get into it from the very beginning. The house, which brought Jenny and Brian together in the first place, was not the same! How can you do a sequel of a movie which centered around a particular house, and then have the house be different in the sequel? It makes no sense. I think that without the house being available, the script writers needed to make a different house part of the script. It would have been sad to think that the first house was destroyed by an electrical fire due to old, faulty wiring; but, at least it would have made some sense. To have Jenny and Brian stand in the new house in the "spot where we first kissed" just didn't work. It was the same with the goats. I'm sure there would have been some other white goats around. Anyway, early after opening the B&B, there was this fire. With the insurance money, Jenny and Brian were able to purchase another place which they were now having to fix up again, but it was costing more than they anticipated, especially with the storm and all. That way, all the repairs going on in the sequel would have made more sense because the first house was basically ready to go; except for the faulty wiring, of course. All the new expenses with the new house would have made more sense for Brian to have to return to New York to work for awhile. Jenny's whining was pretty annoying. Starting up a new business is hard any time, so sacrifices have to be made. Couples do it all the time. Jenny and Brian's friends were still there to rally around and help them with their new B&B. I was totally expecting Casey and Tommy to get together in the sequel. How could Casey always be saying there were no men around and not see Tommy? Anyway, I just wish the writers could have taken a leap and changed the whole thing to make it be about the "new" house and the challenges that came with that. As it was, the sequel was just kind of a rehash of the first one, only without the charm of the first.

Cute movie!
ISmellSnow6 September 2020
In this second movie of the trilogy, we see Jenny and Brian trying to balance home and work life. Jenny is trying to expand her home goods business with an Inn full of guests, while Brian is temporarily back at Wall Street. We see love blossom, love hanging by a thread, and some cute goats. Highly recommend this movie!

Very enjoyable second part of the series. Ignore the cynics.
studioAT1 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, lets get the two grumbles out of the way:

No, it's not the same house as the first film. Yes, the goats are different.

If you can get passed those things (and it seems like some reviewers cannot) you'll find this second instalment in the series to be just as engaging as the first.

It's an unusual film, Hallmark or otherwise, because it shows you what happens beyond the standard rom-com ending. We see how these two people struggle to make their relationship work, and it's all beautifully played.

I read reviews prior to watching this, they nearly put me off. I would urge you, if you were a fan of the first, to look past the continuity flaws, and embrace a lovely film.

Don't do a sequel if its just rehash
Jackbv12314 October 2017
I love Lacey Chabert, so if I'm putting down a Hallmark movie with her in it, then it must be bad. This probably didn't deserve the stars I gave it.

There is nothing new in this movie. It is practically the same old stuff as the first one, and much less well done. Scenes with Lacey and Brennen seemed rushed. No chemistry this time. Lara Gilchrist was either doe-eyed or tough witch. Vincent Gale was cliché. Other supporting actors tried.

As far as story, at least they got Jenny's side business out of that tiny B&B kitchen into something a little more commercial. On the only plus side I can think of, several little side romances sprung up.

Like my summary says: If you are going to do a sequel of a much loved movie, don't just do a rehash but give it a life of it's own.

Loved this sequel BUT
taylornan18 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I loved the first movie and enjoyed this one too. Lacey and Brennan have chemistry which is a big reason why I like this movie.

On to the BUT. I am a huge fan of the first movie and anxiously waited for the sequel. It was so disappointing that: the house is not the same (this was a big part of the first movie) the goats are not even similar, the first ones were all white and these are supposed to be the same goats, but they are mostly black.

the country store and store keeper are different the diner is different

I am happy that they kept some of the original actors like Vern (Ed Asner), Casey, Rusty and Alice. But when you base a movie around opening a B&B and in the sequel the house is different it just doesn't make sense. I am sure there is a valid reason why the original house could not be used in the sequel but it was a big disappointment for me.

No...this is just the beginning.
cgvsluis27 February 2021
I thoroughly enjoyed the original, this sequel starts six months later on the edge of the opening of the B&B. Our couple is engaged, very much in love, adjusting to Buck's county life, and cash poor. It is fall in Buck's County. Jenny's home bake being sold at the local coffee shop is the only thing keeping them fluid. Front of the hardware store, Vern, heads to a family wedding and warns Brian not to mess it up with Jenny. This episode is filled with the usual small town characters and the goat Gabby with her kids. The tow truck driver, Rusty's band "Rusty and the breaks" sound pretty good and make for a fun date night between Emily and Brian as they take a break from the flurry of last minute preparations for Emily's country inn's opening.

A massive rain has the roof leaking which causes all the spare rooms to be completely wet, adding stress and a lot of extra pre-opening stress.

"I love finding little traces of Emily around the house."-Jenny "If it weren't for Emily, we never would have met."-Jenny

Creaky stairs and singing pipes...and then the electricity goes out. The house needs all new wiring!

"Love me and love my toolbox."-Brian

Brian takes a consulting job on a merger to both make a little money and prove his ex-boss wrong, leaving Jenny to greet their first guests alone. Then the big client wants Brian to consult on another deal...pushing out his time in Manhattan to a week. With Brian commuting to the city from Buck's county, he and Jenny barely see each other. Then Jenny looses her distributor, putting more financial strain on the couple.

"I feel like a stock broker going to a rodeo."-Brian

A little bit of a rehash of the first movie while not as good. Brian and Emily still have amazing Chemistry and are what is keeping me watching.

Have they heard of a T1 line
jiaidc26 April 2023
When I lived in New Hampshire, our neighbor did all the investing for a millionaire- one client.

He built a very small barn in his side yard and filled that barn with electronics.

Every weekday, he would kiss his wife and proceed to side yard to his home office. He spent the day being a stockbroker and at the end of the day his commute required him to cross the side lawn.

I think about them a lot during this movie, and the conflict of the movie seems so silly.

Still, I find the movie very sweet and endearing. Who doesn't like a movie with baby goats. Bucks county doesn't seem so special, but I have never been there, so pay me no mind on that one.

The House Being Different Kinda Set The Tone for This Sequel
codenamePHOENIX10 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The house being different kinda set the tone for this sequel, from the moment you see the house you can't t help but feel like this is miles different from the first one. I really really liked the house from (All Of My Heart) it was very warm and welcoming and seeing them work to make it look so beautiful just made you want to go there, and I liked that you had to walk up a little hill to the house.

The house in this movie just doesn't give off that same feeling unfortunately the house isn't the only that's different so is the town and goats. I also felt like Jenny was overly needy and not being as understanding as she was in first movie. Brian has put in a lot of money to renovate and fix up the house but the money is running out. So he gets offer a job on Wall Street that will help pay for everything but that means he won't be in town helping with the inn's arriving guests as much. I get that it was hard and lead Jenny to doubt if Brian returning to his old job would be temporary or permanent. I just wish she had just talked to him about her doubts and fears instead of making him feel like he had to choose. Brian is passionate about what for many years he was good at but he's also passionate about the new life he created with Jenny fixing up the house and the friends he made in the town. He shouldn't have been made to feel like he couldn't have both, I think the movie was lacking an alternative that Brian have both of his two passions. I mean Jenny gets to have the things she's passionate about without having to sacrifice any one of them for the other, the same should have been given to Brian. Jenny and Brian's strong connection was sorted lacking but that could have been because their happy moments was rushed to get to their angst moments of the story. I still think this is a good movie just not as as good as the first one.

Almost as good as the first
MickyG33329 April 2023
7.7 stars.

I daresay this was very close to the first in entertainment, quality, and fun. The first installment: 'All of My Heart', I awarded a 7.9 stars. This one "Inn Love" is very similar as far as general goodness, but for different reasons. Whereas the first was heartily hilarious, this one is merrily romantic and heartfelt. The one minimal detraction is the first 30 minutes are a bit slow and difficult to enjoy. I think the writers and director realized this story would require a bit of time to get us back into the flow. First we see how they are happy together and the inn is almost ready for guests. Suddenly he is offered a chance to go back to his Wall Street job, and the film captures his "temporary" absence...he's back in the city, she is getting lonely...they are drifting apart. There is friction, and tension, but the guests who are keeping her company whilst he is away are a very endearing and enjoyable bunch of people (who also find themselves falling in love with each other). When the conclusion rolls around we can't get enough of this celebration of love from the perspective of multiple characters. "Inn Love" is the perfect title.

The grand opening of a different inn?
terrierbeck23 June 2018
Like both of these actors very much. First better than sequel. However, wondering what happened to the original house they inherited and just newly painted green? It appears to be a totally different house beyond a remodel...ha! Oh well, guess were not supposed to notice. I enjoy these two whatever they are starring in.

Warning: Spoilers
Loved the original. This sucked. Not the same house...not the same town...not the same goats....what a disappointment! At the end of the first movie they were about to open. This movie they are about to open. Why can't they get the inn open?? Brian going off to earn money while sweet would be unnecessary if the inn were open already. The writers and director just phoned this in.
