No football at all in this documentary
kesselhaus9 May 2018
I started watching this documentary hoping to see some nice football scenes and analysis on it but that never happened. It is all about what messi and Ronaldo do with their money and popularity.

If you are interested in that you may enjoy it but if you are more likely waiting to see which are the tactical strengths or weaknesses of each one of these two players you better no waste your time seeing this documentary.

Where is the football part? Really? Comparing the style and fashion of both to solve the question of who is the best??? You gotta be kidding me!!! Ronaldo is using anti aging Creme... nuff said.

Don't waste your time!

For real?????

"Legends such as Pele, Maradona and.....David Beckham have dominated the pitch for years..." Enough said!

Folding socks or washing dishes would much more useful and fun than watching this garbage.

They don't bring no football content some stats are wrong, they show the city of barcelona when they were talking about lisbon.. the way portugal(madeira) is represented is just disrespectful it proves that they haven't made a good research on the topic .... Waste of time.

A joke

This feels like it was made 30 years ago by someone who just googled the word soccer the night before their school homework. Don't waste your time. Go outside.

Total waste of time
ventriloquist-0420511 May 2018
I've never seen a worse football-related documentary. They speak all the time throughout and there's no football at all. Only gossip, things you don't care about and irrelevant info. Add to this the experts who keep speaking about the same thing all over again and are totally boring. "World cup is important to both of them". "Both work for charity". "Both come from poor families, that's why they work so hard" and other rubbish of this sort. Useless.

Amateurish production
jonathan_crawley19 December 2021
This documentary is abysmal.

Poor editing. Snippets of interviews are repeated over and over again, and not always in context. A shot of Barcelona is used when the narrator is introducing a scene in what is supposed to be Lisbon. There is no football in this documentary. I could go on...

Just please please swerve this one. There are much better documentaries covering this topic available on YouTube, made by amateur content creators.

Disgraceful 'documentairy'
tomoegema-0384529 January 2022
Besides the fact that nearly any football related statistics or analysis is displayed, the production even managed to get facts wrong. Like the WC that Messi nearly won in 2010 against Holland. It was 2014 against Germany. Furthermore the comparison between Barcelona - Real Madrid is made with other big rivalries in Engeland. Even that they managed to screw completely.

How did this amateur work make it to Netflix?
xgrddkqstw9 May 2023
A very poor documentary. Audio is up and down, interviews in foreign language with no subtitles and no coherent thread throughout the documentary. Interviews are with very random commentators on the sport, with no high profile names or insights of note. It would rate as a moderately decent university dissertation... not fit for tv at all. The whole thing feels as an uncomfortable mish-mash of thoughts without any thought of how the two titans of the sport could be compared like for like and blow for blow. Even if either (or both) footballers excite you, don't waste your time with this drag of a documentary.

Worst football documentary maybe

Warning: Spoilers
There is nothing about football here. Nothing about rivalry. 80 percent is Ronaldo's life, gossips, people commenting about him. Other 20 percent is messi's life.

Nothing to do with football or any "face off". Completely overshoots the rivalry and talks about non related things all the time.

What they called face off is probably the sponsorship deals, own brands, owned restaurants and their concepts. One could watch if interested in a non football related story, but this time major part of the series is about Ronaldo, compared to messi. I sense a little bit a bias there too.

I'm short, one of the last of anything I'd recommend to people.

PITY

When i decided to watched a documentary about these 2 football legends i expected to see a lot about football, statistics, graphs and interviews from team mates coach staff, opponents etc. We saw very few clips from Sir Alex and Henry but most of the time we saw football journalists. Also, the topics were far from football since they focused on their charity, their businnesses, their relationships and things like that. I expected to see some of their best goals, some records they broke, some important highlights and generally moments related to football. They tried to make more of a gossip documentary and let football aside.

Zero research.
demetrisch24 July 2022
I stopped watching after 10 minutes and i should stopped earlier. Amateur work. Most probably the people who worked on this, know nothing about football, even the journalists in the ''documentary''. Don't waste your time.
