The purpose of the game is to hunt Survivors, if you're the Killer. The Killer brutally hits survivors, with lots of blood spilling around the Survivor. The Killer must hook the Survivors through their chests to win the game.

The game allows the Killer to slash Survivors with a weapon like a sword or a knife. Survivors can be thrown onto a meat hook which will impale their shoulder (bloody but unrealistic). They then hang from the meat hook until they are rescued, manage to free themselves or are killed by The Entity.

If you choose killer you hit people with very sharp objects such as knives, chainsaws, and other things. Also when you knock a player you hang them on a hook blood squirts out and they scream (very hard to watch)

Micheal Myers can stab players if the right offering is on.

The violence/gore in the game is not scary or realistic. While there are spurts of unrealistic blood when Survivors are slashed with knives, no wounds are ever shown on the player's skin. Even after getting thrown on a meat hook there is no visible maiming.

The violence in the game is much more mild than most other M-Rated games, partially due to the fact that it's not very realistic.

Some profane language can be read when you select an item and/or perk.

Some profane language can be heard when selecting the character Ash J. Williams.

One of the villains, the Trickster, says the Korean word for "Motherf*cker" when stunned.

The word "fuckos" is written on a perk.

Nicholas Cage frequently uses profanity when injured.

Chucky says the fuck.

Chucky uses a variety of language throughout the game.

Profanity varies depending on the character chosen, but a majority of the cast will frequently swear, especially for characters like Chucky.

On the PC version, the Left 4 Dead character, Bill, has a cigarette.

The killers can be intimidating.

The deaths alone can be threatening for some players.

Certain music will play at dire situations as a survivor, and the moment you are caught by the killer could raise scared levels, some killers also appear disturbing or intimidating with their cosmetics, but nothing over the top

The chases can be very scary especially from the survivor's perspective

The Hillbilly has an ability called "Chainsaw Sprint". Which makes the killer move 3x times faster while holding his chainsaw up. Any survivors in range will get insta-downed. Survivors might also get terrified by the sudden appearance of Hillbilly.

The killers can obtain an offering "Memento Mori" which lets you kill survivors by hand.

Most killers are grotesque in appearance.
