101 Dalmatian Street is a great reboot classic cartoon and funny so much more funnier then the 90s series, so it set in modern times and there owner left them to defend for themselves the show involveds around dolly and Dylan and there variety adventures both characters balance each other out perfectly and unlike the original it set in the uk like the films

Charming fun, but not the best
olivershammas27 June 2023
I should start this review off by saying that I have never watched anything 101 dalmatians related apart from this show. That being said, I still like this. Although I am defiantly older than the target demographic, I found a lot of the characters to be charming, especially Dolly. Most of the jokes don't land for me and I find the show to be too childish at times, but I still really liked watching it. Sometimes it's nice to watch a show that is just fun and not deep. I really like the animation with how cartoony it is and I find a lot of the expressions of the characters to be funny sometimes. Overall, I recommend this show to any fans of the original, but people can enjoy it without watching any of the movies.

2.5 Stars out of 5 Stars

Bruh they really just gave 2 dogs a literal house, and not only that, but this house has 101 puppies; what? Why don't the owners take care of them? Beyond that, this series was mediocre. More enjoyable than the original 101 Dalmatian tv series, but this type of childish antics isn't my style. Don't get me wrong, some of this show was good, and I think it actually deserves a watch from people of this demographic, but overall for me, this was nothing intriguing or lasting.

Could've been better, if not for the darn modern times
patrickfilbeck10 December 2021
This new cartoon series for the ingenious Disney franchise 101 Dalmatians unfortunately fails a little too much due to the incorporation of modern nonsense, such as cell phones, hipsters and social media. The drawings are really okay, the house design is really well done and the dog characters are by no means bad. But you can quarrel with the stories of the individual episodes. The 90s cartoon on the farm is definitely a lot better.

Over a million times better than The Loud House
BoxwoodExpress30 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Over time, I've grown tired of the Loud House for its cliche plotlines and jerk characters. If you're in the same position as me, you may find that this little show on Disney+ in the USA is a massive improvement. It's the same premise pretty much (a bunch of siblings in one household) but much more creative. Let's break it down:

Animation and Art Style: The animation is very fluid, and each of the 13 main pups has a unique design. It also has a nice color palette. My only complaint is that for the background pups, the same design is copy-pasted.

Writing: This is the area that the show achieves in the most, and excels over The Cliche House. The writing is smart, and the plots are creative and don't get recycled. The show also seeds in a story arc as the episodes go on, and it all culminates in the epic season 1 finale, The De Vil Wears Puppies.

Characters: The characters are well-written and enjoyable. Dylan and Dolly have a nice back-and-forth dynamic with each other and really do care about each other. All of the pups has their own unique personality, and hopefully the other pups outside of the main 13 will get to shine in season 2. My favorite character is Deepak, the meditator pup who's adorable. The show also had a nice redemption arc for Hunter De Vil, the great nephew of Cruella from the 1961 movie.

Music: The show's theme song and credits song are both very catchy and fit the tone of the show well, but I think they should change it for the more serious episodes, because it's strange to see Cruella about to kill the pups and then it cuts to the upbeat "It's a dog's life, and we love it like that". However, I like that they incorporate Cruella's song into her scenes, such as her ringtone.

Enjoyment: The show started off good, and it gets even better later on. The show is both fun to watch and thought-provoking. I recommend it.

De Vil in a Blue Dress.
southdavid14 April 2023
Alphabetically, the first show on Disney Plus is "101 Dalmatian Street" a spin off from the animated films. I'm really not the audience that they were after with this series, but I wanted to at least aim to try everything so I watched the first episode and, although I don't want to watch anymore, there were some aspects about it the I liked.

Several generations after Pongo and Perdita, an unrealistically large amount of Dalmatian siblings live in customised house in Camden, London. With their parents working, looking after these puppies usually falls to the eldest two, cautious Dylan (Josh Brener) and adventurous Dolly (Michaela Dietz).

I'm not going to go into too much depth with my review here, as I said I only watched the first episode, which is made up of two stories. Then I found out that Michelle Gomez was playing Cruella De Vil (a part she was born to play in live action), so I watched a little of the last episode too, to get a flavour of that. Visually I quite liked the show, it's an abstract art style at times, particularly with the backgrounds that often use big splashes of colour rather than detailed drawings. There are also recognisable London landmarks in there and I liked, in the first episode anyway, that there was some attempt to actually represent the people you see in Camden, rather than just generic humans. The cast is pretty good too, aside from people I've already mentioned, Conor MacNeill appeared in the first episode, and I can see that Rasmus Hardiker, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Olly Murs and Stephen Mangan also appear later on.

So, why am I not planning to watch anymore. It's a big, noisy, vibrant but basic show, and though I'm not above watching a series aimed at children primarily, I'm looking for it to have a little more to it to keep me engaged, a bit of subversion, or wit and, based on that first episode, this show doesn't have enough of that.

Extremely unrecognized show (please read full review)
Adwans22 September 2022
Nobody seems to know about this series. Even though it is a spin-off series from a Disney Franchise Titan.

And I think it is sad...

Dalmatian Street isn't the funniest or the most clever title ever.

It doesn't have the deepest lore or the best characters.

But if it has one thing going for it, then it is charm and cuteness.

This series is just cute.

Seeing this big family happily together and just somehow working is just extremely nice to see.

And when there are troubles approaching, they have to work together or find themselves to get rid of the problem.

The two main characters are Dylan and Dolly.

Dylan is the organized, well-mannered, thoughtful and caring type of the two.

Of course Dolly likes and cares for her family too. She just shows it in a different way. She is well... rebellious. Some people might even say she is a so called... "tomboy". And we all love our tomboys in our children cartoons am i right?

...

Okay lets get back on track... Dolly doesn't really care about rules. And so her methods in taking care of her siblings are more dangerous, but also more fun for the younger ones.

Dylan and Dolly are basically Ying and Yang. They are very different in their personalities and ideals. But in that way they complement each other. Both their ways are helpful for their siblings.

Sometimes (or most of the time) Dylan's way is the right one.

But also; sometimes Dolly is right with her methods, ideas and plans.

They work perfectly together!

Then there are their younger brothers and sisters and of course the parents. There are a total of 20 "main" dogs, all have their unique character traits and quirks.

I mean yes they are quite simple but with more episodes the show could have really fleshed them out more.

There is just so much stuff to discover, I mean for starters the parents are not first married. So the pups are stepsiblings.

And I mean, there is so much more you could do... -Episodes about Dimitri and the other pups -Episodes about the background stories of each family. (Ae Dylan's Father and Dolly's Mother) -Episode about Christmas (classic) and so on...

The Art style is also nice. I think it is pleasant to look at.

It is modern, but it also has this old school touch with the backgrounds.

It is simple, effective, palatable. I like it!

But anyway: It would be an absolute dream to be able to go into their house once. Just for one minute, I would probably die from overwhelming joy.

I am pretty much a right-wing young man that is filled with hate.

But this series makes me feel better and lighter. It has just these nice family moments, which makes me happy and makes me want to have children...

And I think I will stop here. Just watch the series and give it a review, so it gets more attention. I don't think that it deserves 10/10, but I just want it to have more recognition. It is one of the most underrated children series I can think of.

No one knows about this, it is frustrating.

Even I only found this randomly after watching the original Dalmatian movies and Disney recommended me this afterwards.

...I am very grateful that i found out about it...

If I had to give this show a rating without giving it a rating, I would say that; Basically it is a MODERN kids show which I would actually let my children watch. I think it teaches children quite well.

Please just watch it on Disney+ and don't forget to put it on your watchlist!

And thank you for reading this.

Literally Awesome!!
cowdog-2440511 August 2021
Ever since it came out on Disney+, last year, I just can't stop watching it. I recommend this for dog fans around the world, like me.

I do have one thing to say, though, and this is why I only gave this series 9 stars: I wish they could've made another season. Other than that, it's great!

Oh, and one more thing to the people who created this show: even though the first season had a decent ending, PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD (or should I dog😉) MAKE ANOTHER FREAKING SEASON!!!!!!!!!

Love dog's and animation? This one's for you. if you're not either, it's still for you.

Wow! This cartoon far surpassed my expectations. I have long been a fan of 101 Dalmatians, so when I heard that they were doing a reboot again, I was hoping that they would not ruin everything. I was very pleasantly surprised. While they keep the charming style of the original movie, the action is fast paced and the characters extremely cute. Also, the humor goes beyond kids audiences, but is still kept quite clean. I would give this a hearty 10/10. Bow Wacka Wow!

I love this show!
JustAObjectShowFan24 September 2021
I agree with most of the reviews on this page (except for negatives) But nonetheless, I love this show. I started watching it on Disney+ recently and i have to say it is so good! It's sad this only got 1 season, Considering how 101 Dalmatians is one of Disneys most popular films. But, I love this show with many others. 10/10.

I don't like cartoons becouse a lot of them in my opinion are stupid, but 101 dalmatian street is different. It's very funny show about a family of cute pupies. I love it so much and in my opinion it's the best cartoon in TV at this moment. Of course it's just my opinion and you should watch it to see if you like it or not.

Best Disney Animated Show I seen in Years But...
icy_mcgraw28 June 2021
The one thing I like about this show is the variety of characters with different personalities. Something for everyone. Also, the art style and the character designs are great as well. Along with the visual for the background just leave me speechless in a good way. The one thing I'm not happy about is that the show lacks of advertising. The rating for the series is extremely low. I don't blame the people behind the show, but I blame Disney for not advertising it more than it should. That's why it failed in the UK and the US. Not because it's too boring or plain, it's the amount of ads for the show. If it was a Marvel Movie/Series then the ads for that will pop up everywhere on the internet and cable TV. Don't get me started on the time slots for new episodes on Disney XD(Where shows go to die). 7pm are you kidding me? Nick did something similar with "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." I'm very disappointed. I hope one day Disney will see their mistakes and give the show a second chance and a second season with better advertising/time slots.

Creative, Adorable, and Charming!
lizzielogemann8 April 2023
I absolutely adore this show! I wish Disney did more to advertise it, because more people should watch it! The characters are super charming and fun and all have unique and distinctive personalities. The animation is fun and ubeat with a cheerful and bright color palatte to suit the tone of the show. There's a great variety of episode ideas ranging from detective cases to a faux zombie episode. It's a ton of fun and they have plenty of room to get creative. I really can't recommend this show enough! It's really a shame that more people haven't seen it. If you're at all interested, definitely give it a watch!

Back on the streets
raben-8114630 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
30 years after the first 101 Dalmatians TV show the dogs came back. In this show we follow the wild adventures of the puppies, their parents and their friends. If you wanted your 101 Dalmatians show wilder than before this is it as the show follows the classic animation blend with lots of slapstick fun for the kids, lots of pop culture references for the adults and the simple Socal animation that many animated show and movies that are trending and very talked about the youth on social media sites. This is not the deep thinking and serious TV show on Disney+ but some silly dog TV show for the audience that loves Bluey, Lilo and Stitch and Pluto when you and your family want some fun in two 10 minutes episodes.

Enjoyable show, but not the best.
leisler-8438528 February 2024
I honestly really liked this show. Its a Fun and charming show with lovable characters and interesting plot points. I highly recommend for any dog lovers. The voice acting is good. It is one of the better animated disney shows. It's funny and would definitely be a good choice for Any kids that like cartoons. I would say probably 7+ but really it's up to whatever you think. I personally wish it had at least 1 more season. It has 52 episodes, ( well, actually it has 26 but there are two 11 minute episodes in 1 ) I don't think I explained that well but hopefully you know what I mean. Overall I'd highly recommend it.

Extremely Adorable & Charmingly Brilliant!
Tailslover137 October 2023
I really hadn't ever heard of this show before, and only bothered to look it up when I saw cute pictures of the Dalmatian Dolly online. When I started to watch it, I got hooked immediately. It reminds me a lot of Littlest Pet Shop (2011), and that's a good thing, since I also adored that show while it was on.

101 Dalmatian Street is a very face-paced show, with each episode only being roughly 10 minutes or so, but honestly that works in its favor. The animation is really fun, vibrant, energetic, and warm. The voice acting is really good, the dynamics between the characters is great, and the show does its homework on dogs and how they tend to act and think (at least as far as I can tell). To me, this show feels like a lot of heart was put into it, and that's what I love most about it.

Is it perfect? Probably not. But, for me personally? I'm giving it a 10/10 because I willingly watched many episodes again and again, I keep thinking about the adorable cuteness, and I'll likely keep revisiting it in the future. So, what more could a show do to earn a 10/10 than that? This is just a really fun, heartfelt, adorable, charming, awesome little show. I wish it had gotten more seasons than what it got, and it should've gotten more attention, too.

This Show Shouldn't Have Died To Quickly
ej-0281513 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This show in my opinion, is a great continuation of the 101 dalmatian series and shouldn't have died too quickly. I have a feeling that this show has a lot of potential of being greater than it was now, but unfortunately not many people thought that this show was close to being good. What I can agree with the public is that whoever was in charge of making episodes for the TV show, made it too quick to an "Ending" such as how Cruella De Vil showed up into the series pretty fast and was already defeated too quickly and since the show has 26 episodes, I feel as if the show should have done a more smaller amounts of episodes (like 15) so that they can see if people will either like the show or not. And if they did like the show, then it could've been a successful TV show and continuation of the 101 dalmatian series.
