This short adds some great visuals to the series you already love!

If you haven't already do be sure to watch the David 8 commercial ( powered by Verizon ). Whilst Walter's advert may not be as in depth as his predecessor's this short still adds some stunning shots we've never seen of the robot assembly within the universe.

At first the style of video with its music may seem a strange choice but quickly one realises that this is a very different style of commercial. For that I definitely respect the creators not recycling the same gimmick that's been done before. This ad feels quite akin to a 'new phone' (or new piece of tech, which Walter definitely is) commercial.

Whenever creators get the chance to do something a little extra outside of the film it's always a treat. It may be short but it's definitely worth the watch for all alien fans!

Only watch it if you really love the films this is based on

"Alien: Covenant - Meet Walter" is a 2.5-minute live action short film and as the title already suggests this takes place in the universe of the Alien/Prometheus movies directed by Ridley Scott. So no surprise that this one here was directed by his son Luke. Overall, despite the addition of Michael Fassbender who I like quite a bit, this felt like a really forgettable short film to me. The music is perhaps the most memorable aspect, but M.F. does not have any chance to shine given the script. It is really all about the sets and effects here. Not enough for me and I believe you must really adore SciFi to see anything appealing in here. Or just really love the films I mentioned earlier. i myself would say that 2 stars out of 5 is still very much on the generous side. Style over substance and I don't recommend checking it out, not even at this runtime.

Don't look at it if you liked Alien. If you did not like Alien don't consider to watch this ever in your life.

As I am an engineer I was impressed by the emotional silliness shown by nearly everybody - Captain, teammember 1 till idiot 13. The only person who shows IQ is Walter.

I think it is to less to switch off the light, show splattering flesh and to cry in fear. If this movie earned 240 Mio Dollar - do we have already brain eating aliens on earth?

Thank you Mr. Director Luke Scott and Michael Fassbender. You showed your performance and now please continue to sell Pizza.

And for the autor of the storybook - braineaters obviously contacted you already - so it is true - we have aliens on earth!
