Quotes

  • Eleanor Hirst : So you're finally selling this place, huh?

Kurt Weller : Well, don't have much of a choice. Searching the world for your missing wife and the man that has a bounty on her head? Costs a lot of money, that I don't have.

  • Kurt Weller : I told you, I'm not coming back until I find her. Keaton got her out of this country and then she disappeared, so she's out there alone some...

Eleanor Hirst : There's been a new development. Reade, Zapata, Patterson. They were all taken last night.

Kurt Weller : Who took them?

Eleanor Hirst : We don't know. But this was waiting for us in Reade's apartment.

[another agent sets a briefcase on the counter and opens it]

Kurt Weller : What is this? Some kind of puzzle box?

Eleanor Hirst : Our forensics teams believe the lock is biometric. Jane is likely the only person in the world who can open it.

Kurt Weller : Well, if I knew where she was...

Eleanor Hirst : Turn the box over.

    [he does so]

Eleanor Hirst : Coordinates. Deep in the heart of Nepal, Kurt. We think we found her. Go get her.

  • Kurt Weller : I'm uploading the new tattoos to you now.

    Rich Dotcom : I don't know, there's a lot of covered-up areas.

    [Hirst gives him a look]

Rich Dotcom : What? If you want my comprehensive analysis, I will require full nudes.

Jane Doe : Is that who I think it is?

Kurt Weller : A lot's changed in eighteen months. Reade's running the NYO, Tasha went over the CIA; she's working for Keaton now. Patterson moved to Silicon Valley. She's developing some app thingy.

Jane Doe : And Rich Dotcom works for the FBI?

Eleanor Hirst : Mr. Dotcom helped us bring down a massive international terror cell last year and is brought in from time to time to assist.

Rich Dotcom : Hey, Jane. It's Rich. Long time listener, first time caller. Jane, they got me staying in your safe house. It's like I'm living inside you. It's very intimate. Which brings us back to these nudes. Now, if you want my help, I really am gonna need to see everything. Patterson, Reade, and what's-her-name's lives may depend on it.

Kurt Weller : Rich, we'll do complete scans when we get back to New York. For now, we know where the first tattoo's gonna lead us.

Rich Dotcom : I can't believe I'm the one saying this, but what if this is a trap? You know? An elaborate ruse just to get you two out in the open? Do we really wanna risk it? At least before I get my nudes?

Jane Doe : Look, whoever put these new puzzles on me did it while I was unconscious. If they wanted me dead, I'd be dead already. This is about something bigger.

  • Jane Doe : Any intel on the dark web guy controlling the payout?

Eleanor Hirst : Leslie Doorhaus, AKA "The Duke of Death". We've been aware of him for years, but until now, he's been unfindable. Acts as a coroner to the underworld. Holds the bounties, confirms the kills, and transfers the funds to the lucky assassins.

Jane Doe : Okay. Well, we have to meet him in half an hour at the Abbey of Misericordia.

Eleanor Hirst : I can request Italian police set up a hidden perimeter around the church. They'll take Doorhaus the second he tries to move Jane's body for disposal.

Kurt Weller : It's too risky. This is not a good plan.

Jane Doe : Right now, it's all we got.

Kurt Weller : [she reaches for the syringe]  So we wait. Come up with something better. We don't have to do this, Jane.

Jane Doe : [injecting herself]  Yes, we do. We have ninety minutes until I need the antidote. Please, Kurt, do this for me. For us.

  • Kurt Weller : Just tell us where they are.

Stuart : The Venezualan government has them.

Rich Dotcom : Yes, and if my intel is correct, they're being held in a military training facility somewhere near the base of the Caroni River.

Eleanor Hirst : Unfortunately, our relationship with Venezuela being what it is, there'll be zero assistance on their end.

Jake Keaton : Which is why she called me. I know a group of rebels that'll meet you at an airstrip about three clicks from the base. They'll get you all the gear you need, but you have to infiltrate the compound on your own.

Stuart : Um, shouldn't we just call the President or something? If we get caught sneaking FBI into a non-extradition country, it can spark an international incident.

Eleanor Hirst : They bought our friends, enslaved them under God knows what conditions. I'll do whatever I have to to get them back.

  • Jake Keaton : This new layer of tattoos is even more complex and dense than the first one. Hidden letters, unknown patterns and number sequences, maps without labels or context. It appears that every inch of new ink on Ms. Doe contains hidden meanings. And I think the CIA should run the investigation this time.

Eleanor Hirst : [sarcastic]  Shocking! And why is that?

Jake Keaton : Because we narrowly avoided a major national disaster when the FBI ran it last time.

Eleanor Hirst : We didn't avoid it, we stopped it. Besides, the CIA can't operate domest...

Edgar Reade : Domestically? So far, this case has been global and you know that!

Edgar Reade : All right, all right, look! Look! The reality is we need to work together on this one. Now, hear me out. This thing is plenty big for the both of us, so I propose a joint task force.

  • Edgar Reade : Our best chance of neutralizing whatever this new threat is out there lies in pooling our resources. We might not like it, but tell me I'm wrong.

Jake Keaton : Is this about solving Jane's new tattoos or about you getting your old partner back?

Edgar Reade : You run the CIA side, right? Assign whatever agent you think best. I suggest someone with some experience on the matter.

    [to Hirst]

Edgar Reade : That work for you?

Eleanor Hirst : If you think this is the right call, I'll support you. But I will also hold you accountable if this blows up in your face.

  • Patterson : I'm sorry, I know I've been gone for a minute, but are we really letting Rich Dotcom, dark web supervillain, have access to FBI computer systems now?

Rich Dotcom : Hey, Peppermint Patty, I'm a changed man, 'kay?

Eleanor Hirst : Rich is currently on probation, working with us on a sort of a work-release program.

    Rich Dotcom : Full release.

Edgar Reade : The truth is he's got a lot to offer, and over the past year, he's actually done a lot to earn our trust.

Rich Dotcom : You see that? That's leadership right there.

Kurt Weller : Is... is there a briefing somewhere inside this briefing?

  • Kurt Weller : I'm still stuck on why.

Jane Doe : We don't know Roman's motives yet because he doesn't want us to. The only way to figure it out is to follow these tattoos.

Eleanor Hirst : Jane, you don't have to do this if you don't want to. No one is forcing you to be here this time.

Jane Doe : Yes, they are. Roman knows I can't walk away from this. He's my brother, these tattoos are on my body. I'm doing this.

Rich Dotcom : Backstreet's back, all right! Six best friends and Stuart.
