After 10 long years, fans got the updated version of 2012’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive called Counter-Strike 2. The game was better than its predecessor as major technical improvements were made and a new game engine was utilized. The game had everything but a very important feature was missing: left-hand ViewModel. Popular games like Valorant have had this feature since the very beginning and it was very unusual of Valve to not add this feature since it was available in Cs:go.
Counter-Strike 2
Finally, the wait is over as a new Counter-Strike 2 has added this feature. With constant updates, Valve has been working hard to create a better gaming experience for the players as the game had a rough start. Many adjustments have been made in this update, including the return of the Overwatch anti-cheat monitoring system.

Earlier today, the developers behind Assassin’s Creed Mirage conducted an Ama (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit and hinted at the possibility of Basim’s story being extended.
Creative Director Stephane Boudon and Art Director Jean-Luc Sala answered only a handful questions, one of which was,
“Did you ever think about making a Dlc/new storyline contents for the game, considering how well it was received by the community?”
Just last year, Stephane had confirmed that Mirage would be a standalone game and wouldn’t receive any story expansions. In the Ama today, Stephane reiterated,
“We’re thrill by the reception of Mirage! Mirage as been design as a standalone experience without any Dlc plan. However, we have ideas on how we could extend the story of Basim, surely.”
Since the developers have refuted the possibility of a Mirage Dlc twice now, this new statement could mean that Basim...

Out of all the themes that the Assassin’s Creed franchise manages to craft an experience around, history happens to be a big one. From the shady pathways of London in 1868 to the mystical and open landscapes of ancient Greece, the franchise has managed to tell several stories from many parts of human history.
However, things may be a little difficult to grasp with Assassin’s Creed Hexe in this aspect, especially when magic and spells might take the center of attention. While Ubisoft is trying to manage both realism and fantasy with this one, only time will tell how it truly turns out.
A Holy Roman Setting With Myth and Magic The new game may not be as huge as recent titles but tries to tell a more meaningful story.

Ubisoft is currently hard at work on multiple Assassin’s Creed titles. Two of them have already been confirmed; one is Codename Red, which is apparently set in Japan. The other more prominent one is Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe, which is set in central Europe. It would supposedly be set during the 16th-century Holy Roman Empire.
It would entail a story that would be crossed over with the mass hysteria during which around 80,000 people were unjustly executed for the crime of witchcraft. There’s no hint as to what the game’s protagonist would look like or who that would be. Fans are guessing that it would probably be a witch. Now a leak suggests that this game would be a scary experience for anyone who dares to play it.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the latest game to jump onto the permadeath bandwagon, following other notable games like Baldur’s Gate 3, Against the Storm, and Amnesia: The Bunker. The Full Synchronization Challenge released in the recent update will allow players to experience permadeath in the game in three difficulty settings.
Ubisoft has been in the crosshairs of fan displeasure for quite some time now. With the lackluster and generic performance of Skull and Bones, the pressure is mounting on the developers.
Whether the permadeath mode of the game is worth it, only time will tell. But if initial fan reactions are any indicators, then fans are not placated by Ubisoft’s performance as a developer.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” is growing up before our eyes — her Sweet Sixteen season is scheduled to debut on January 5, 2024 on MTV. This time around, the ages of the 14 drag queens range from 24 to 34. They come from every corner of the U.S. — from New York to Florida to California — with one being born in Mexico and another hailing from Taiwan. Note that the winning contestant who survives all of the “sashay aways” will take home an eyebrow-plucking $200,000 grand prize.
Host RuPaul Charles is once again joined on the judges’ panel by Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews and Ts Madison. In a new twist, this cycle will allow the participants to rank each other’s challenge performances in a “Rate-a-Queen” segment, and that will determine how they’ll all be sorted into the tops and the bottoms of the week.

When it comes to family drama, the sheer multitude of them makes it hard to distinguish one from the other. While there are certain layers making them distinctive, these are sometimes purely superficial, as the core idea of the family, its identity and the conflicts it has to overcome stay the same, making most of them somewhat redundant or at the very least, repetitive. What sets some of them apart from the rest is how the concept itself comes into question, after a tragedy, for example, setting the foundation for a fundamental alteration of the family itself. It seems this structure is what drives a short feature such as Jhanvi Motla's Mirage, even though its duration makes it tough to say for sure this is what the writer/director was aiming for.

This post contains spoilers for "The Fall of the House of Usher."
Mike Flanagan's partnership with Netflix has resulted in some of the finest works of horror of the past few decades. Between "The Haunting of Hill House" and "Midnight Mass," we have two masterpieces of horror. Plus, there's "Gerald's Game," one of the best Stephen King adaptations ever. Before that partnership ended, however, Flanagan gave us arguably his angriest and gnarliest work yet in "The Fall of the House of Usher."
The limited series, which is a loose adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's literary work, follows the titular Usher family, whose patriarch Roderick made a fortune in the pharma industry. Their nightmare begins when Roderick's children start dying. One of those children is Camille L'Espanaye. She is the head of PR at Roderick's pharma empire and a ruthless, sharp-tongued woman with dirt on every member of the family.

Broadcasters in France, Germany and Italy have joined forces on family adventure series “The Emperor’s Stone: The Search of La Buse’s Treasure,” which will be produced under the Alliance, a partnership formed in 2018 by leading European pubcasters to finance ambitious, internationally-driven series.
Commissioned by France Télévisions, Zdf and Rai, “The Emperor’s Stone: The Search of La Buse’s Treasure” won the call for projects launched in 2022 by the Alliance. So far, as many as 10 shows have been produced via the Alliance, including “Mirage,” “Germinal,” “Around the World in 80 Days” (pictured), “Leonardo,” “Survivors,” “The Swarm” and “The Reunion,” among others.

Across the "Transformers" franchise, from the 1980s animated series to its seven live-action films, the most recognizable and steady presence is Peter Cullen as the voice of Optimus Prime. For the younger generation, however, the voice of Pete Davidson in "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" is probably even more noticeable. The comedian, best known for his stint on "Saturday Night Live" and his raucous dating life, plays the Autobot spy Mirage in the latest robot-smashing epic, adding to the enduring legacy of bad jokes and cheesy dialogue the series has become known for over the years.
Returning to the franchise for the first time since the third film, 2011's "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," Mirage has the ability to project holograms and transform into a Porsche 964 Carrera. Originally voiced by the late actor Francesco Quinn, the addition of Davidson gave director Steven Caple Jr. ("Creed II") the opportunity to craft...

The Assassin’s Creed series has come a long way from its days as a concept to reboot The Prince of Persia franchise. Assassin’s Creed’s first outing took players to the Middle East, but subsequent entries have explored London, France, and other historic locations across the globe. The latest entry, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, returns to the Middle East, but just because it’s retreading somewhat familiar territory doesn’t mean players will see many familiar faces.
As a quick reminder, on October 5, 2023, Assassin’s Creed Mirage was released for PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5. The game stars Basim Ibn Ishaq (who is not-so-secretly the reincarnation of the Isu Loki) in his early days as a member of the Assassins, long before he met the main character of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Eivor. Unlike more recent entries, Mirage returns to the franchise’s stealth-based roots and restricts players to one city,...

Assassin’s Creed Mirage was recently released to pretty good reviews. The game might not be the best title of 2023 (that honor may be a toss-up between Baldur’s Gate 3 and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom), but Mirage is an excellent return to form for the Assassin’s Creed series. In fact, the game finally cut out some of the fat that many gamers have disliked since the first entry.
For those who need a refresher, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is an origin story for Basim Ibn Ishaq, who (spoilers for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla) served as a surprise final boss because he was the reincarnation of the Isu Loki. Mirage recounts how Basim became an Assassin and channels much of the Assassin’s Creed franchise’s original energy.

I haven’t really enjoyed the recent Assassin’s Creed games (aka the “RPG trilogy” that began with 2017’s Origins). By all accounts from those who do enjoy them, they are fine games that obviously benefited from exceptional production values and a series of eventual gameplay refinements. However, they are also open-world action titles with a ton of things to do and light RPG elements. In other words, they bear a pretty strong resemblance to the basic formula that countless modern Triple-a games follow to varying degrees of effectiveness.
At a time when more and more pieces of major entertainment must be familiar enough to not potentially offend the palates and sensibilities of a massive global audience, “basic” has become the new “bad.” Years worth of too much entertainment that could best be described as “ok” has greatly lowered the value of that description. You start to crave something that breaks...

When the original Assassin’s Creed first hit store shelves in 2007, it was unlike anything else you could play on consoles that holiday season. Sixteen years later, we take that game’s winning combination of stealth gameplay, melee combat, parkour traversal, and open-world historical setting—all somehow also wrapped up in a compelling sci-fi thriller—for granted. But that’s because so much of the open-world formula the original title helped pioneer has become the standard language of modern gaming.
It’s why, in recent years, Assassin’s Creed publisher Ubisoft worked to freshen things up with a trilogy of games that emphasized loot-driven RPG mechanics over the original’s more linear, stealth-focused approach. But while those three installments—Origins, Odyssey, and most recently, Valhalla—were undeniable success stories for the franchise, Ubisoft is now going...

The latest Assassin’s Creed game, Mirage, will satisfy those who like annualized content from a 15-year-old franchise. More specifically, the game, which has been billed as “a love letter to the first titles in this series,” is for fans who disliked the series’s RPG-ish evolution in Assassin’s Creed Origins. The gameplay essentially resets to how it was in Syndicate, and Mirage, which is set against the backdrop of 9th-century Baghdad, is a throwback to the original Assassin’s Creed, which took us to various regions of the Holy Land during the Third Crusade. The game even leans into the original’s bluish filter as a nostalgic visual option.
Mirage begins and ends in search of a proper story. It’s a prequel to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and those who played that game already know more about protagonist Basim Ibn Ishaq than Mirage tells you. But even if you haven’t,...

Memories are powerful, they have the ability to connect us to our pasts whilst evoking a plethora of emotions which we have no control over, so what if there was a way you could access them without limits? Mirage from filmmaker Elizabeth Acevedo explores this very concept through a fantastical drug – Nostalgia. Her debut short film is an exhilarating, visceral study of the role of memory within relationships and the terrifying implications of having unlimited access to our inner worlds. Mirage deploys a heady blend of colours, tones, dissolves and fades which not only reflect the protagonist’s loss to the drug but also play with time in a way reflective of the filmmaker’s deep understanding of memory, addiction and loss. Acevado worked intimately with actors Devon Bostick and Dylan Gelula to build a deep and connected understanding of the characters, thus intensifying the audience’s journey through the film.

A new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Mirage debuted at Gamescom in Cologne on Wednesday, taking gamers on a tour through medieval Baghdad.
Developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux, the new chapter in the Assassin saga was shown during the influential German video game convention, and will launch on PC, PlayStation and Xbox on Oct. 5, 2023.
The trailer, titled “The Round City of Baghdad,” offers a cinematic look at the Arab city in the 9th century, during its Golden Age. The clip also gives details about the history of the protagonist, Basim, and the Assassin’s Creed. “My sword spares the innocent,” Basim states in a voice-over, “but not the order of the ancients.” There are also several snippets in the film that frame some sides of the game’s gameplay, on the possibilities of stealth and acrobatic actions above the buildings of the Middle Eastern city.

Long before I discovered the joys of horror movies, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a formative obsession of mine. I often wonder if Tmnt and its variety of imaginative creatures served as a gateway to the genre of sorts. Living up to its title, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem has the potential to do the same for a new generation.
Whether you’re a genre veteran interested in revisiting thematically similar offerings or a newcomer looking to branch out into some of Tmnt’s inspirations, here are six horror movies to watch after you see Mutant Mayhem.
1. The Fly
Mutant Mayhem villain Superfly is a fresh spin on the classic Tmnt character Baxter Stockman, who debuted in the original Mirage comics and has appeared in many other iterations since, from animated to live action. As a brilliant but mad scientist turned mutant human-fly hybrid, the character was clearly inspired by The Fly.

What Noah doesn't know is that the car he is stealing is, in fact, a robot in disguise. After a chase with the police -- a chase in which the car seems to drive itself and project holographic duplicates into the lanes surrounding it -- the robot transforms into a mechanical humanoid and introduces itself as Mirage. Sunday Update: In 68 overseas markets, Paramount/Skydance/Hasbro’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has pounced on a $110M opening weekend. Combined with domestic, that gives the Autobots and Maximals a global debut of $170.5M, coming in ahead of projections. The Steven Caple Jr-directed franchise reboot was No. 1 worldwide and at the international box office for the frame.
Offshore, and excluding China, the debut is 36% ahead of previous title, Bumblebee, which opened during the Christmas corridor in 2018.
China was the best play for Rise of the Beasts with $40M, below the hoped-for $50M launch but still the second best start for a Hollywood film this year and with a strong audience score of 9.1 (tied with Bumblebee).
Mexico was up next with $7.3M at 902 locations, followed by Indonesia with $5.3M from 431 and the biggest ever start for a Transformers movie. Peru kicked off with a terrific $5M from 107 locations and...

In a decisive win for the Autobots after being stuck on autopilot for years, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts opened to a promising $60.5 million at the domestic box office, more than enough to topple popular holdover Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and win the crowded summer weekend.
Rise of the Beasts — which successfully revives the Hasbro toy-to-movie franchise after several fits and starts — landed on the high end of expectations. While reviews have been mixed, the Paramount and Skydance pic earned an A- CinemaScore from audiences and excellent PostTrak scores.
Younger adults made up the majority of ticket buyers, with 56 percent between ages 18-34, including 34 percent between 18-24, according to PostTrak. The male-skewing film is playing to an ethnically diverse audience (Latino, 32 percent; white, 31 percent; Black, 21 percent; and Asian/Other, 16 percent).
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts also did sizeable business overseas, earning $110 million for an early global roar of $170.5 million.

The bots are back.
From Paramount and Skydance, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts bit off a promising $8.8 million in previews as it battles for the hearts and souls of summer moviegoers. The preview grosses include select fan screenings on Wednesday and regular Thursday showings.
The tentpole is considered a direct sequel to 2018’s Bumblebee and a prequel to the first Transformers live-action film series that starred Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox. The movie, directed by Steven Caple Jr., opens after a five-year hiatus for the series and hopes to revive the franchise.
Rise of the Beasts follows Optimus Prime and the Autobots on their biggest challenge yet, when a new threat capable of destroying the entire planet emerges. Together with the Maximals — who make their big-screen debut — they must save the world.
The human heroes of the story include new characters portrayed by Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback.

The giant shape-shifting robots are back, in the seventh instalment in the live-action Transformers film series, this time without Michael Bay on board as director. The result is a significant improvement on the previous films, thanks to a script that includes an increased focus on character, dialogue and actual emotion, while still providing plenty of robo-carnage.
Technically both a sequel to 2018’s Bumblebee and a prequel to 2007’s Transformers, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set in 1994 and centres on three separate groups of shape-shifting robots. When it comes to the Transformers franchise, one tends to grade on a curve: “Well, this one wasn’t as bad as Revenge of the Fallen…” or “That one was a little better than Age of Extinction…” When at least four of the seven films in a franchise are all but unwatchable, damning with low expectations is where we end up.
With the seventh and latest film, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, one might say, “Well, it wasn’t as good as Bumblebee…” but in this case, that doesn’t instantly spell doom. Talking about inclusivity and diversity taking centre stage in Hollywood, Steven Caple Jr told Entertaimnet portal: “It feels great. Someone who is considered minority and being able to have opportunity myself to cast Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, Michaela Jae (Mj) Rodriguez… It’s great to have black and brown on screen.”
“Of course, like for me I want my movies to reflect the kind of world we live in. What we see on a day to day. One it is important and two it opens the door more.”
The American film director, producer, and screenwriter added: “There are a lot of artistes out there… that are from across the globe and for us to now have a platform and stage to tell our stories while embracing our culture at the same time. Sounds special.
