Jonathan Majors’ Kang was supposed to be the big antagonist in the upcoming Avengers films and the climactic antagonist for the ‘Multiversal Saga’ of the MCU. However, the actor was dropped from future Marvel projects due to his legal troubles and eventual sentencing after being accused of assault.
The actor made his MCU debut with the Disney Plus series Loki, where he was introduced as He Who Remains, the protector of the Sacred Timeline. He also made an appearance in the box office disaster Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and was regarded as the best part of the film. Majors had mentioned his technique to get into character, which included a curated playlist that got the energy of the role right.

Ryan Millsap, former CEO and owner of Blackhall Studios, made a name for himself in Atlanta as an executive who encouraged diversity. But, per a report published by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and ProPublica, he may not have been as pro-diversity and inclusion as he appeared.
This week, ProPublica staffer Nicole Carr and Atlanta Journal-Constitution senior editor Mike Jordan published an investigation that looked into hundreds of pages of text messages between Millsap and his ex-girlfriend, Christy Hockmeyer, that were submitted as evidence in a lawsuit against him.
His texts, mostly from 2019, included comments about “Fucking Black people” and “nasty Jews,” as well as other racist and antisemitic views. The pages were released due to a legal dispute, which includes various filings, between the real estate developer and his former attorney, John Da Grosa Smith.
“Ryan’s public persona is different from who he is,” Smith wrote in one of the filings.

It has been a lucky 13 years since Tom Hiddleston first played Loki, the God of Mischief in the film “Thor.” He returned to the role recently for season two of the TV series “Loki.” This Disney+ show provided a beautiful end (we’ll see) to the character’s epic arc.
The sophomore outing of the series seee Loki trying to save the universe with the help of Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino), Mobius (Owen Wilson), and Ouroboros (Ke Huy Quan). Kang (Jonathan Majors) is once again at the center of the trouble. The series is fantastical and is held together by the superb performance of Hiddleston. Once again, this classically trained actor brings Shakespearean authority to the role. He is also able to infuse increasing vulnerability to the former villain, making Loki one of the best characters in MCU history. Critics agree, “Loki” is the Tom Hiddleston show.

“Loki” could conjure up a Best Drama Series nomination this year and give Disney and Marvel representation at this year’s Emmys. The second season of “Loki” continues the journey of Tom Hiddleston‘s titular former villain as he attempts to save the multiverse. Loki traverses the multiverse with the help of Owen Wilson‘s Mobius, Ke Huy Quan‘s Ouroboros, Sophia Di Martino‘s Sylvie, and Wunmi Mosaku‘s Hunter B-15. They are hoping to repair the damage caused to the multiverse during the events of the first season, with Kang (Jonathan Majors) again at the center of the trouble.
Season one was greeted with rapturous applause and this sophomore outing has been met with the same response.
Bob Strauss (The Wrap) observed: “Characters with compelling issues, high existential drama, quirky comedy and world-threatening action are blended better than in any other Disney+ show to date.”

“Star Trek” has a storied history with the Emmys, but its recognition has usually come in below-the-line categories. The only times the franchise has made the cut for Best Drama Series were for the original series in 1967 and 1968 and “The Next Generation” in 1994. But this is a wide-open year for dramas at the Emmys, and there are eight slots to fill for Best Drama. Can “Discovery” or “Strange New Worlds” get the franchise into the top race for the first time in 30 years?
Of last year’s nominees for Best Drama Series, only “The Crown” is able to return. “Succession” and “Better Call Saul” ended their runs, while “Andor,” “House of the Dragon,” “The Last of Us,” “The White Lotus” and “Yellowjackets” won’t premiere new episodes in this eligibility period. That leaves seven available slots. It might still seem like an uphill climb for “Discovery” and “Strange New Worlds,...

Showtime’s “The Curse” is one of the most unique TV entries of the past year. The acclaimed drama series from Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie follows a newly married couple (Fielder and Oscar-winner Emma Stone) who host an HGTV show trying to conceive a child while navigating a curse.
The show’s tone and style, a satirical black comedy, makes for extraordinary viewing and while it is classified as a drama for awards purposes, it transcends genre classification in reality. Critics agree, this is one of the most unique and colorful TV shows out there.
Richard Roeper (Chicago Sun-Times) explained: “To its credit, ‘The Curse’ never takes its foot off the pedal, to the point where we’re absolutely sure Whitney and Asher are going to crash and burn — yet we’re still not prepared for the inspired lunacy of the fate that awaits them.”

Wunmi Mosaku, best known for her work in Marvel Studios’ Loki and HBO’s Lovecraft Country, has joined Michael B. Jordan in the untitled supernatural horror thriller that Ryan Coogler is directing for Warner Bros.
The buzzy project, the object of a high-profile bidding war in January, heads before cameras later this month in New Orleans and is furiously casting up. Delroy Lindo and Jack O’Connell closed deals last week.
Little is known about the project — and what is known has yet to be confirmed by either the studio or Coogler. Insiders say the feature is set in the Jim Crow-era South and possibly involves both vampires and Southern supernatural traditions. Jordan may be playing dual roles — as twin brothers.
Sources say that Mosaku may be one of the feature’s female lead and playing the wife of one of Jordan’s characters.

He was facing up to 12 months in jail, but on Monday, a judge instead ordered him to complete a year-long, in-person domestic violence intervention program. After being convicted of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, Jonathan Majors will avoid jail time by completing a 52-week in-person batterer’s intervention program. Additionally, Majors must continue with mental health therapy. The new order comes as Majors faced a one-year jail sentence for his actions against Jabbari.
Last week, Majors’ legal team tried to have his conviction thrown out, saying there was “a reasonable view of the evidence to support that Defendant acted recklessly.” Majors’ arrest happened at the height of his career after the back-to-back releases of Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The latter positions Majors as Marvel’s next Thanos-level villain, Kang the Conqueror.

As Prime Video’s Fallout TV series inches closer to its release date, fans of the famous game franchise are excited, yet worried. Excited, for the simple reason that their beloved game would come to life through an eight-episode-long series. At the same time, there is concern about whether the show can do justice to the game.
Prime Video Fallout TV Series
The series director Jonathan Nolan from the start has been adamant that it will have an ‘original story.’ This is further bothering fans who are wondering what the show would look like without the original story. Fallout series production designer Howard Cummings, in an interview, shared how he prepared for the show and how Bethesda was involved with the show.
Fallout Production designer was a non-gamer
In an interview with The Gamer, Cummings surprisingly revealed that he is not a gamer himself. So, he had little or no idea about the game.

Glenmaroon House hunches at the top of a long driveway, the severe angles of its walls and joints softened by climbing ivy and deepening twilight shadows. Daniel Sackheim’s intriguing landscapes of Los Angeles evoke a time of classic film of the Film Noir period. His landscapes of Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood Blvd, the distant pier of Santa Monica create a moody scene iridescent of classics like Double Indemnity; Mildred Pierce, The Third Man, and Shadow of a Doubt. The seductive tones of a bygone era are visually stimulating creating a mood of mystery that captured the eyes of audiences when The Maltese Falcon was first released.
Sackheim’s directing credits include Lovecraft Country, Game of Thrones, True Detective, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, and Ozark to name a few. Having been a director for many years before delving into photography, he says his eye tends to land on a cinematic sensibility naturally. This time last year, Jonathan Majors was a star on the rise.
A graduate of Yale's drama school, Majors had a handful of major credits to his name, including HBO's Lovecraft Country, the blockbuster Rocky spinoff Creed III, and the critically acclaimed indie film The Last Black Man In San Francisco.
It was an impressive resume for a star in his early thirties -- and the best was yet to come (at least from a monetary standpoint).
Majors made headlines when signed on to play Kang the Conqueror in a slate of Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.
It was a deal that had the potential to take him from "well off" to "private island wealthy."
But in March of 2023, Majors' life was instantly turned upside down.
Fans were horrified by the downfall of an artist whom many regarded as one of the great actors of our generation.

One of the biggest stories in pop culture of 2023 was the fall of Jonathan Majors. After a strong rise that saw him star in The Last Black Man in San Francisco (one of the best films of 2019) and a collab with Spike Lee, he went on to have just about the most impressive start to a year that we can remember: leading Sundance sensation Magazine Dreams, landing the post-Thanos Marvel threat of Kang and stepping into the ring for Creed III. Before the year ended, Jonathan Majors was found guilty of assault and harassment, with projects being yanked and his career in Hollywood in serious question.

Several women have come forward with additional accusations against actor Jonathan Majors, who was found guilty in December of assaulting and harassing a girlfriend.
The New York Times is reporting the accounts of former girlfriends, colleagues, and on-set personnel regarding Majors, who has maintained his innocence and said last month in a televised interview that had “never struck a woman.”
That is contradicted by several accounts in the Times story.
In pretrial statements to the prosecution and in interviews with The New York Times, a former girlfriend, Emma Duncan, accused Majors of emotionally and physically abusing her, including choking her, throwing her around, and bruising her. Another, Maura Hooper, also said that he had emotionally abused her.
Both Duncan and Hooper are actresses who dated Majors before he became famous. He was characterized by the Times report as a “controlling, threatening figure who isolated them from friends and career pursuits.

Exclusive: Film and TV helmer Victoria Mahoney has been tapped to direct Suits: L.A., NBC’s proposed Suits offshoot, which has been heating up for a pilot order.
As Deadline reported exclusively in October, the project, from Suits creator Aaron Korsh, is not a revival or reboot of the popular USA Network series and, unlike the 2019 Pearson, the new legal procedural is not a spinoff either — it would be a Suits universe series in the vein of the CSI and NCIS franchises featuring new characters in a new location, Los Angeles.
Like Suits, which was set in New York and filmed in Toronto, Suits: L.A. also will film in Canada, with Vancouver standing in for Los Angeles. Production is slated to begin in March, I hear.
Korsh executive produces alongside David Bartis, Doug Liman and Gene Klein, who were EPs with him on the original series.
While the Suits: L.
