The set for the lingerie shop had to be improvised at very short notice. All the lingerie items displayed belong to writer/producer Erin Simms.

A few times the characters refer to the "inner goddess", a humorous conscious figure that Anastasia Steele talks about throughout the 50 Shades books, but was left out of the 50 Shades movies.
The photo of Jane Fonda and Don Johnson from the 1970s shown at the beginning is actually Fonda's face pasted on Melanie Griffith's body, Johnson and Griffith who were once married to each other in real life.
E.L. James: author of the 50 Shades trilogy and her husband (Niall Leonard) can be seen walking their dog when Carol and Bruce are arguing in the front yard.
