A great story, a comedy, a tragedy, something that cannot be replicate in today's world. The colorful Brazilian imposter who became famous of conning his way into fame and glory, allegedly.
I think this is a great documentary to watch. It is fun, it is interesting, it is unbelievable. I also think that it says more about the people that fell for his lies than on him.

As a female with little knowledge of football, this wouldn't be my usual choice of film but I was pleasantly surprised. Beautifully shot and brilliantly told, the story of the tragic figure that is Carlos Kaiser provides the full spectrum of emotions, from laughter to sadness. It's a fascinating story and can't believe it's taken this long to be picked up.
I also read that the guys who made this dreamt up the idea in a pub, with little experience of filmmaking, unbelievable in itself!
Brilliant soundtrack too - go and see it.

Almost too good of a story to be true. That this guy fooled so many clubs and so many people shouldn't be able happen.

Even for a non-football fan like me, it was an excellent tale. The film is so well crafted and gives insights into an aspect of Brazil and football-culture that I could never imagine. Bravi to all involved.

The true story of Carlos Kaiser who had a 26 year career in top flight football without ever kicking a ball. He duped clubs and mafia bosses to live the life of a superstar footballer without playing. His off pitch antics are a great yarn and told by those that were with him at the time including some huge names like Zico and Bebeto. You don't have to have any interest in football to be won over by Kaiser! You will laugh and cry and the twist near the end will keep you rooted to your seat. Listen out for the KaiserChiefs cover with the end credits too.

Firstly, I am not a huge football fan, so the idea of watching a film about football was at first not that appealing to me. However after reading up on Kaiser and his story I was intrigued. I found this documentary to be extremely entertaining from start to finish. It made you feel many emotions towards the man himself. One minute you are laughing at his bravado and the next your feeling sympathetic towards him. Above all I felt admiration for a man who hustled his way to a 26 year football career without kicking the ball on the pitch. That level of hustle showed where his skill with balls truly lay. Loved it, think Kaiser is a legend.

A superb film about a Brazilian who conned a 26-year career as a football superstar. It looks stunning, has great interviews and a brilliant twist.

Very enjoyable documentary and I'm not a football fan. You'll make your own mind up about Kaiser after watching this.
