Please tell me its not a coincidence that Selena looks like she is embodying Penelope Cruz in this video. It's not exactly the vibe I would have expected, but it mostly works.

Terrible song, even worse video

Warning: Spoilers
"Hands to Myself" is a 2015 song by Selena Gomez (Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend) and what we have here is the music video for that. The best about it is really that it is over before the 4-minute mark. Director is Alek Keshishian and the love interest is played by Christopher Mason. Both aren't known really, so no further elaboration here. This is all about Selena. And that means that the film starts with her in bed with handcuffs and continues with her walking around in her underwear. Oh well.. I guess that says it all. Very fitting for the masturbation reference in the title too and please don't tell me it isn't there. If she can't stay memorable through her voice, then at least like that. Then again the song is so shallow and simple that you cannot even judge Gomez' singing from it. Most people with semi-decent voices could have pulled it off. And back to the video, what is even worse is that the film has not hit rock-bottom early on with what I described earlier, but with some weird stalker plot with Selena being the stalker, but then the ones who wrote the story for this music video got scared because the target group for this music is in fact blind enough to actually perceive Selena as something negative, so they quickly rushed in a plot twist that they are just watching their own film on television. Does it get any more cringeworthy than that? I'm not sure. Don't watch. Don't listen to. Keep your hands to yourself or do with them whatever you want to as probably many did watching this one (as it was intended, even if they will never admit it), but under no circumstance press the Play button for this one ever again. Highly not recommended.
